Oliver's POV
"Noel Verbeck," I stated as I walked down the stairs.
"Are we here to talk business or did you call me here to talk as friends?" Noel asked.
"I was hoping it was as friends," I replied as I looked at her. "Are you okay, Noel? You seem like you have something else on your mind."
"I'm fine," Noel nodded. "So, uhm, what did you need to talk about?"
"I was really hoping for you to come work for Queen Industries after you graduated," I sighed. "Instead, you went for Lex."
"I am the co-CEO of LexCorp," Noel looked at me. "I'm only on Lex's side as his assistant for LuthorCorp dealings here in Metropolis."
"You're in love with him, aren't you?"
"I love him, yes."
"So, you were in bed with Luthor while you were intending for me? What secrets have you told him?"
"He doesn't know I used to work for you, Ollie. It's already too late for me to switch over to Queen Industries."
"It's never too late."
"I have a kid with him. A son named Caden Joseph Luthor," Noel looked at me. "He's four years old." I sighed. "And I have another on the way."
"I didn't realize you guys had started a family."
"Yeah, but he has yet to propose," Noel replied. "Now, did you really call me to talk about my love life with Luthor, or did you need something else?"
"I was going to ask you to the ball at the Mansion."
"Lex is my date. That's a given."
"Okay, can I treat you out to lunch tomorrow?"
"Sorry, but Lex is taking the family to Florida for vacation."
"How about when you get back?"
"Ollie, I'm in a relationship. I don't know how Lex would feel about me going on a date with another guy."
"Not a date. Just two friends hanging out."
"Give me a call when you come to Smallville," Noel nodded. "We can grab a coffee at The Talon."
"I'll take what I can get to be with my friends," I smiled. "I rarely ever get to see you without being attached to Lex's hip."
Lex's POV
Noel walked in with Caden. "Hey, I've been waiting for you for a couple hours," I looked at her. "Where were you?"
"The Kent Farm," Noel replied. "We had dinner with them."
"That came out a little defensive. Are you okay?"
"Caden, go to your room," Noel stated. Caden ran off. "I'm fine, Lex."
"Noel, you're allowed to go anywhere you want. I was hoping to leave when I got back from Metropolis. I understand you're with your friends. That's why I didn't call you."
"Lex, what do you have against Oliver?"
"What does Oliver have to do with this?"
"Well, Oliver is a friend of mine, but he feels he can't spend time with me because I work for you and I'm in a relationship with you."
"He can hang out with you if he wants. If you want to, you can."
"I'll let him know."
"Noel, I love you. I want you to be happy," I walked up to her. I grabbed her hands. "We're a family. I'm happy with you and with our son."
"How do you feel about having another baby?"
"Do you want another child?"
"I'm asking you, Lex."
"I would love to have another child, Noel, but we're about to go on vacation."
"Lex, I'm pregnant."
"What?"
"I'm pregnant. I took a test this morning. I was going to tell you, but you had the meeting in Metropolis."
"I would've cancelled," I replied. I gave her a hug. "Our family is going to get bigger."
"We have the room."
"I'm going to try my best to make every appointment."
"Only if you can make it. Just like with Caden. Now, you will have to be there for the birth of our child."
"I'm not going to miss that," I gave her a kiss. "I canceled my whole day off being when Caden was born."
"I know," Noel looked at me.
"Again, I love you Noel," I nodded. "I would do anything for you." Noel smiled. "Now, let's get going on our vacation."
