"Look, honestly the only person in this match who really deserves to face Kenny Omega is Moxy" I sighed into the headset "Everyone knows he was screwed in that match, and he would still be Champ if it weren't for that slimy piece of shit Don Callis" I added taking a swig of my water as I watched the action in the ring. "Well, we are about to find out who our Joker is. Maybe someone just as deserving as Moxley" Tony sounded as I took another drink, the water spewing from my mouth as the opening sounds of Adam Page's music sounded. "Are you alright Tyler?" Excalibur questioned as I choked on the water I had swallowed in my shock "Yeah, I'm fine" I coughed moving the headset so I could cough out the rest of the water I had inhaled into my lungs. "I think it's safe to say everyone is surprised by the return of Hangman Adam Page" JR sounded as I gathered myself and turned my attention back to the action in the ring. I remained silent as the match went on, hard hit after hard hit until Adam knocked Jon from the ladder and secured the casino chip. Leaning back into my chair I threw the headset onto the table and scrubbed my hands over my face. Pushing away from the announce table I shook my head and returned to the back knowing Jon was going to be livid. "Did you fucking know Tyler" he shouted slamming me back first into the wall as soon as I had passed through the curtains shouting going on all around us as I groaned in pain "Did you fucking know" he growled pulling me forward and slamming me back again making a short scream leave my lips "No you fucking prick. I had no idea. Now let me go" I groaned dropping to the floor as soon as he had released my arms. "I had no clue he was coming back." I repeated using the wall to pull myself back up to a vertical base wincing with the movement.

"Shit Ty I'm sorry" the blond sighed scrubbing his hands over his face before moving to help me limp my way towards our locker room. "Don't worry about it Moxy. Now I can go to bed feeling like I at least had a match" I tried to laugh it off the noise quickly dying out as the man in question slowly approached with his Elite buddies. "That was a great match Moxley" the taller blonde offered up hand running through his hair looking for something to say. "Dude, it's my sister you gotta try to woo, not me" the older of the two grumbled "No one is wooing anyone" I sighed heavily "We're going home." I informed Jon who gave me a pout "But people are going to the" he started "No. We are going home to see your wife and your little girl Jonathon." I snarled glaring at my brother with a look that quickly sent his hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay" he nodded in agreement following after me as I pushed past the cowboy who opened his mouth to say more but with a quick look in his direction snapped it shut with a click of teeth. We quickly cleaned up and then headed home, I was quick to close myself in my room just needing some peace and quiet after everything that had happened recently. Unfortunately, my peace and quiet didn't last very long as the doorbell echoed through the house with the arrival of an unexpected and slightly unwanted guest. "Hey Moo, Page is at the door looking for you" Renee sighed leaning against my bedroom door, the words passing her lips making me groan in annoyance. "Maybe you need to hear him out Tyler. I mean, it's not every day that someone is willing to knock on the door, look Jon in the eyes and ask for his baby sister" she pointed out making me groan even louder because she wasn't wrong. Most people steered as clear as possible from me knowing Jon was my big brother, he'd sent many a potential suiter to the hospital room for talking to me wrong. Rolling from my bed I followed the blond mom out to the main entry to see Jon with Nora in his arms staring down a fidgeting Adam Page.

I tried to look uninterested but as soon as Nora started giggling and smiling at me, I couldn't help but smile back squishing her little belly to get a giggle before I slipped on my shoes and headed for the front door. "Not too late Moo. We gotta be on the road early" Jon reminded before the door closed separating Adam and I from the family. "Moo?" Adam asked ducking as I went to smack him "Sorry, sorry. Just not a normal nickname I guess" he spat out quickly ducking his head as I continued glaring at him, Renee's words running through my head making me sigh. "I'm sorry. Yeah, Moo. Renee has been calling me it since as long as I've known her" I explained as we started walking again. "Jon's old stable mates used to call me Moonlight for my hair, sometimes shortening it to Moon." I continued kicking a rock missing the two men "Renee thought they were saying Moo and it just stuck" I shrugged suddenly wishing I had grabbed a sweatshirt as a breeze blew across my skin making me shiver. I jumped slightly as a weight settled on my shoulders looking to see that Adam had pulled off his jacket and laid it across my shoulders. "How many people do you think are looking out their windows right now thinking I'm naked" I wondered as I pushed my arms through the sleeves the black jacket covering my shorts from view "All of them. For sure." He answered hands shoved deep in his pockets as we walked "Moonlight suits you. But Moo is adorable" he suddenly stated making me roll my eyes and come to a stop spinning to face him now that we were in a more secluded area of the development.

"You didn't come here to ask about stupid nicknames Page. Spit it out" I sighed trying not to sound super bitchy but not knowing how to let down the wall that I had so carefully constructed. Noticing the frown that slipped onto his lips I sighed once again scrubbing my hands down my face as I paced slightly back and forth "I'm sorry. I didn't mean" I paused not sure what I wanted to say "Can't you just yell at me and throw me around, so I know what I'm supposed to say and do" I tried to crack a joke the look of sorrow and fear in his eyes letting me know it had failed. "No, I didn't mean that" I quickly rambled groaning loudly as I seemed to just dig a bigger hole. "Okay. I'm going to shut up now. You talk" I mumbled crossing my arms over my chest hating how someone could make me feel so out of control without doing anything. A tense silence filled the space around us as we both remained silent my temper quickly beginning to grow. "Forget it" I mumbled shoving past the blonde only to shriek as I was quickly pulled back and pushed into the wall near where we had been standing. "If you want me to throw you around trust me it won't be in the way you're used to" he grumbled towering over me, his body keeping me in my spot. "I fucked up before I left. The shit I said to you was out of line and in no way true." He sighed heavily blonde hair falling in a curtain around his face. "I knew I was going to be gone for a while and panicked. I thought that if I said what I did you'd stay out of my head and when I got back, we'd just pretend we had never even talked before" he continued his words making me snort in annoyance "I know. It sounds stupid. I don't even know how I got your attention in the first place. Not when there's people like Guevara, Kingston, Darby, Santana hanging around." He sighed heavily the names he rattled off making me laugh "What? Thugs? Jesus Page. Is that really all you think of me?" I laughed coldly trying to shove him off but no match for the 6-foot cowboy. "That's not what I'm saying fuck Tyler just shut up." He growled out slamming his hands against the brick beside my head "You are you. And everything that makes you" he paused "you. Means I am nowhere in the equation. Everything in the universe is made to keep us as far from crossing paths as possible. And even with all that I can't stop thinking about you, about how I want to get to know you. The real you not the TV you" he finally stopped a silence falling over us once again.

Taking a deep breath, I understood where he was coming from and knew he wasn't completely wrong "I'm Tyler Good. But most people call me Little Mox or Pitbull" I held out a hand between us chewing on my lower lip nervously as I waited for his response. "I'm Adam Page, most people call me Hangman or Page" he returned taking the hand and lifting it to his lips much like he did the first time we had actually crossed paths. "You're going to hate me by the end of the week" I whispered avoiding his eyes trying not to flinch as he forces me to look at him with a firm grip on my chin "I've tried hating you for four months now and it hasn't worked. I think we'll be okay" he laughed the sound making my chest feel a little lighter. "Well, we can either keep standing out here like weirdos or you can come officially meet my brother I guess" I offered up hands buried into the pockets of his jacket to hide the nervous shake of my hands. "That actually sounds terrifying" he sighed leading us back towards my house anyway "He's not so bad most times" I assured pulling my hand out of my pocket to grab his lacing our fingers together for reassurance. Whether it was for me or the cowboy I really wasn't sure, and it would probably end up being for both of us in the end.
