When Odette awoke she wasn't expecting to see Xavier Thorpe looking over her. The last thing she remembered was pushing Wednesday out of the way of the falling gargoyle. She looked down to her hands that had been placed over her shoulders like they do at open casket funerals.
"what?" she tried to shoot herself up quickly but was grabbed softly by Xavier "hey, calm down" he whispered not realising he was rubbing his hand up and down Odette's back, "you took a hit to head hard but you're okay now" he explained Odette nodding her head to his words.
"nurse said you probably don't have a concussion but will have a nasty bump" he said and silence grew over making it slightly uncomfortable well at least for Xavier, Odette' mind was filled with questions but she asked the obvious first.
"Why are you here?" she asked, confused as she was with Wednesday
"I was on my way to see Rowan" he answered and then Odette realised that they were roommates and nodded "I saw you tackle Wednesday but then you accidently hit your head on the way down".
"And Wednesday?" Odette asked "what about Wednesday?" Xavier furrowed his brows "is she okay?" the Clarence girl asked and Xavier nodded "yeah she woke up before you and we had a chat about how we knew each other when we were little, she said she wanted to tell you something though" he replied.
She nodded "good memories I hope" Odette sighed as she changed her body posture to face Xavier, he laughed to himself before replying "you'd be surprised". Odette smiled lightly before looking down at her shoes, still thinking about the feelings that she had that caused her to save Wednesday.
