Xavier walked out an hour early and Odette didn't know why. "Do you know why he went because I have a feeling I do" Eli pointed out as Odette crossed her head "I don't but it's raining outside now so I hope he's undercover" she said as she looked outside.
"Well maybe you should find him" Eli shrugged "and get sick as well, I won't be able to go to the Rave'n then" she told him and he laughed "I remember when you took me a year ago" he smiled "yeah I got into so much shit for bringing in a normie" she laughed.
"Well maybe we can go together again this year?" Odette asked him "I mean Ajax and Enid will probably go together and it doesn't seem like Wednesdays style so-"
"no"
Odette was surprised by his answer but was a little hurt by how quick he made his decision "oh" she just replied.
"because your going to take Xavier" Eli shrugged with a smirk.
Odette almost dropped her coffee she was holding when Eli told her that "what?" she asked "Xavier left right after he saw you kiss me on the cheek" he explained "yeah but you're-" "he doesn't know that" Eli pointed out.
"do you like him Odette?" he asked and she sat down "that's the second time I've been asked that today you know?" she told him "yeah but you didn't answer it" he said, leaning over the bench.
"I think so?, I mean we haven't been hanging out long at all but when we do at least get along it feels nice" she admitted
"Then go to the Rave'n with him and if you really want me there I'll find a way to sneak in" Eli said before bringing the girl into a hug.
"Since when did having a gay ex-boyfriend come in so handy" Odette laughed before hanging her apron up "thank you for not telling people that's why we broke up by the way" Eli told her before giving her her uniform back.

When Odette returned for the big announcement she sat in between Enid and Kent.
"Say crackstone 10 times in a row?" Odette asked Enid "why?" she asked "It's just a funny word" Kent replied making Odette nod with a smile. "You look happy" Enid pointed out to the red head "So do you" Odette pointed out to the blonde and she smiled brighter.
"I have a date tonight" she squealed "and what do you have?"
"A good friend" Odette nodded at Enid with a smile who smiled back.
"have you seen Xavier by any chance I have to ask him something?" Odette asked her and she shook her head "no but Ajax went looking for him before" she explained and Odette nodded.
Once the band started Odette sent a thumbs up towards Georgia and Wednesday who were performing, Wednesday sticking out like a sore thumb do to her large instrument and full black uniform.
Loud bangs erupted after an amount of time before the crackstone explosion went off, scaring everyone and almost hitting the mayor and Weems.
"holy shit" Odette breathed out as she clung to Enid watching as the fire burned down the statue.
"Let's go!" Enid shouted as their whole row ran out but not before Odette tapped the sleeping shoulder "sir" he didn't wake up. "Oh just leave him be!" Enid yelled before taking Odette back to the train.
Back at the school Enid was stressing out. "Enid you're going to look amazing with anything you wear" Odette told her whilst holding her angel wings pillow. "So glad I have my date with Ajax tonight, get my mind of that trainwreck of an afternoon. I literally think I have PTSD. I didn't get to do my dance routine"
"Enid you can't even do a cartwheel" Odette told her, giving her a pointed look
"What kind of twisted psycho would want to sabotage such a life-affirming event?" she asked I'm not sure but whoever it was put a bad name on the school the kids already hate us there, now most of the adults do too" Odette sighed.
"You're going to be late" Wednesday reminded her after a silence
"Wish me luck"
"If he breaks your heart I'll nail gun his" Wednesday said and Odette nodded "if he does anything wrong be sure to tell him I'll see him in the afterlife"
Enid left before Odette could grab her new book.
"See Wednesday there is no way this book could be about death, I am changing" she called out
"what's it about?"
"It's about four girls from the same family from when they are little ad when they are older" she hummed "It's called little women, who could put a death in the book called little women" she exaggerated.
"be sure to tell me how it goes" Wednesday said as she went back to her novel with a slight smirk.
"I will" Odette smirked as she got comfortable in her bed as she started reading the book.
