"Gellert! Gellert! They are typing!", Albus was screaming of excitement.
"What?! Amazing, honey! Come here!", Gellert pulled his boyfriend up and kissed him.
Buzz. Buzz.
Albus looked at his phone.
"It's from them!", he yelled of happiness and opened the conversation. "With pleasure we announce you that we love the material and we want to publish it as soon as you decide on every detail, font, paper, cover etc. We also want a sequel to it as it is so good. Whenever you want, send the second material to us and we will happily publish it too. Please enter a video conference on 23th of August, at 8 pm to arrange all the details. The link is bellow. Have a nice day!"
"I can't believe it! My angel is going to be famous!", Gellert said, but his eyes were saying something else.
Albus didn't notice that, so he hugged Gellert and kissed.
"I have a special this for a special person.", Gellert said, trying to be more convincing.
He went to the kitchen and came back with an A3 paper.
"What do you say? It's a cover for your book.", he said as he revealed it.
"I love it! How did you know how to make it?", Albus asked.
"I read you story a few weeks ago, right before you decided to send it. I liked the idea so much, I wanted to surprise you.", Gellert forced a smile.
Albus took the paper and looked at it closely. Gellert was a real artist and everyone knew that. But why did he do it?
"Why did you do this?", Albus asked.
"What do you mean?", Gellert seemed confused.
"I mean, why did you want to do this? I never did something so important for you so you would do this for me.", Albus said and looked down, not at Gellert.
"Honey, the reason you exist is why I made this for you.", Gellert spoke, but didn't move closer to Albus.
"Really?", Albus asked.
"A hundred percent!", Gellert smiled.
Albus hugged him and pushed his lover back, onto the couch. They had a heated make-out session for about 8 minutes, then Albus wanted more and started tugging on Gellert's hoodie.
"What?", Gellert asked a little too harshly.
"I want more... Please.", Albus did sense it, but didn't mind.
"Not now, kitten. After dinner.", Gellert said rather coldly and held Albus as he straightened on the couch and pushed his lover off him to get up.
"Why?", Albus started carrying about his boyfriend's attitude.
"I'm not in the mood right now. I promise that we'll do it after dinner.", Gellert was losing his temper.
"But you're always in the mood. How come you aren't now?", Albus kept on pressing him to find out the truth.
"I don't know, ok? I just know I am not in the mood.", Gellert shouted and looked dead in the eye to Albus.
"What wrong with you? You never behave like this. What's wrong?", Albus asked but his phone rang.
His brother.
He didn't answer.
His brother's wife called.
He didn't answer.
His friends started calling one by one.
He didn't answer.
Gellert's anger grew.
"Fuck off.", Gellert left to the backyard through the kitchen, to smoke a little, but right before he exited the house, Albus got in front of him.
"What's wrong? Gell, tell me!", Albus said and tried to keep strong in the doorway, but Gellert was stronger and moved him gently out of the way. "Tell me! Please!"
"It's nothing. I'll get over it tomorrow.", Gellert said and lit up a cigarette.
"It is something and I don't want you to suck it up and 'get over it'.", Albus said and looked at his boyfriend until he looked back at him.
"I said it's nothing and that's it. I don't have what to tell you.", Gellert lied on a convincing tone, but Albus didn't believe that.
"It is something. Tell me.", Albus said louder.
"Fine. If you want to know, I support you and want you to get as much fame as you can with this book, but 14 years back, when we were together for the first time, I had my paintings hanged in a luxury gallery and I told you about it, you were excited about it when I told you, but you forgot the next day, and when we needed to go to see them because the gallery invited us, you had already made plans with your friends and left me alone. I didn't even go. Now, every time I hear about those paintings, nobody know who painted them. They still have the paintings, but nobody cares about them. I don't get any credit fro painting them and, the worst part, you never cared about them. I told you repeatedly to go and see them, but you always had plans. I wanted to take you from home so many times to go there and see them, but you kept on insisting that you were too tired and you needed rest. I suck it up and didn't say a word about them after a while, and you entirely forgot about them. You never remembered them and never asked me if something important had happened with me. No, 'cause you only cared about your book and I always supported you, I always tried to give you ideas and I always tried to know what you were doing so I could surprise you with something. I tried to be like the rest are right now, calling you when you had something important and trying my best to be there for you. But back then, you didn't do anything. You never cared about my important things.", Gellert burst and he squeezed the cigarette in his hand.
Albus was left speechless. He really did that, didn't he? He didn't care about his boyfriends the way he cared about him. He'd been horrible and insensitive. He'd been careless about his boyfriend's things.
"Gell, I... I'm sorry... I never realized it. I didn't do it on purpose. It just... I know I'm stupid, I know I don't do all the things you did and still do, I know I am not doing what I am supposed to do, but please don't leave me. I know it's hard living with me. I know you just want to grab me by the throat and kill me sometimes, but I don't think I could've been here without you. What I mean is that you are the motor in our relationship. You are the one that gives me the strength to continue and you give me the things I need to succeed and I want to give it back to you, but I don't know how. I don't know how to be the way you are.", Albus said and grabbed his lover's hand, the one he squeezed the cigarette with, and brought it to his chest.
"Al, I could never think about killing you. I won't leave you and I don't need you to be like me. I love you just the way you are. I told you, as mad as I can get sometimes, I'll always get over it the next day because I wake up next to you. I don't blame you for what happened, I blame the rest. I want to believe that you wanted to come with me to see the paintings, but you didn't want to disappoint your friends. I get it. It happens to all of us. Just leave me for a few hours or until tomorrow and I'll be fine. I promise.", Gellert kissed Albus' forehead and rubbed his burned hand against his hoodie to clean it.
"No, Gell. I need to do something. You need to be payed back for everything you've done. Tomorrow we're going to see your paintings."
