Chapter 9

We get in the car and Grimm takes a deep breath in.

"What's wrong?" I asked. 

He bites his lip, "It's my family. They're really immature when it comes to girls. "

I laugh, "And? I'm going with you, not them. You should be happy."

He smiled and grabbed my hand, "You're right. But first lets stop by your house and get you dressed."

I nodded, "Alright. What do I wear?" I asked. 

"Dress.. Nice." He said as if he were imagining it. 

"Okay." I said and we took off.

When we arrived home my mother was waiting outside something slung over her arm. She waved me over and thrusted a dress at me, "Here. Wear this."

"How'd you know?" I stared at the beautiful black silk dress in my hands.

"Motherly instincs? " She chuckled.

I ran up my room to put it on.

Once I stripped down and put on the dress I twirl around in the mirror. I looked beautiful.

I decided to do my hair in curls and my make-up a dark thick wing.

I called my outfit "The dark princess" I laughed at my thoughts.

There was a knock on the door, "Come in!"

Grimm and my mother walked in, "Oh Hunny, you look beautiful." She said. 

I turn and smile at my mothers remark, " Thank you mother." I said. 

My eyes shift to Grimm his eyes dragging down my body like the first time I met him.

"Grimm." My mother snarled.

What is with everyone snarling and growling? 

"Katherine, anything you want to tell the birthday girl?" He asked my mom. 

"Happy birthday, baby girl." She hugged me.

"Thanks momma." I said and smiled big. Finally an adult. 

He glared at her, "Anything else?" He said in a low warning voice. 

She sighed, "Honey, come here." I walked to her and she took my hand leading me to her room.

"I want to show you something." She said. 

"Okay." I tried not to sound scared or anything but I was shaking more than I ever have.

"Okay Trinity, You were supposed to know when you were young but I never told you because I didn't want to scare you. It hurt growing up knowing you thought we were fairytales. But.. "

"Hood you're a wolf. " Grimm said standing in the doorway.

"Really Matthew!? I wanted to tell her!" Mother yelled. 

"You took too long and we have to go meet the pack now." He said leaning against the doorframe. 

I looked at my mother terrified, "I'm a what?!"

"You're a wolf, Hunny. That's why our vision and hearing is really good. When you were little I had to hide it from you so I tried my best to make you happy every second so you wouldn't get so mad and turn then and find out. " She said. 

"But I can't be. I'm normal!" I yelled. A low growl escaped from my throat and I held it in my hands. "No." I whimpered. 

They flinched back, "We're normal too. Just a little different. It wont change your apperance unless you want it to." Mother said.
