Hood's POV:
"Stupid fucking limits, right?" I sobbed. "Nobody respects mine so why should I respect theirs?" I pressed down on the gas pedal until I felt it hit the floor and wiped the tears from my cheeks. "Women have boundaries." I kept repeating to myself. "Nobody respects me." I said before I whipped into the next turn. I heard a big crash as my body jerked to the side. I hit my head on the window then the steering wheel. All my surroundings went black and all I could hear was a peaceful hum.
I kept seeing a white light in front of me, I know it isn't that sunny. The light was almost blinding me, but yet it was calming me. Like I knew it was going to be okay. I tried to reach for it but it was just there, all around me. I couldn't grab it, I couldn't even touch it. It was an endless white light.
"Ma'am? Wake up!" A long pause. "She's not breathing! There's no pulse!" It said again.
I tried to talk but nothing came out. I'm trying to tell them I'm awake but I'm lost in the endless brightness. I heard the word, " Go!!" and the light started fading.
"Please bring her back." I heard a whimper. I groaned. It's not as peaceful in here as it was there. I want to go back. I groaned again.
"She's awake!" I fluttered my eyes open and saw Derek in front of me. I attempted to sit up and hug him, but pain shot through me. I groaned louder and laid back down.
"Derek?" I asked.
He nodded frantically and smiled at me, " You remember?!" He whispers to himself. "She remembers!" He yelled louder.
*********Few days later*********
The doctor walked in as I was playing a game of cards with Derek. Not a lot of people came to visit me, except Derek. He came everyday to see me and make sure I was healing good.
"Good morning Trinity, Derek. How are you?" He asked.
I smiled, "Feeling better. Nauseous but I think it's from the medicine." I said.
He nodded and copied something down on his notebook. "Derek I need to speak with Trinity alone for a moment if they is okay with you two."
I shot Derek a plead for help. He looked deep in my eyes and kissed my forehead, "It'll be okay baby, I'll be right outside the door. I promise." I nodded slowly and he got off the hospital bed and walked out the door.
"Trinity, you said you've been having stomach pains. Am I correct?"
I nodded.
"Lay down for a moment. I'm gonna do a quick check up and then he can come back in here."
"Okay." I laid on my back and he lifted my gown over my stomach and dropped really cold gel on me.
"What is this? What's going on."
"The nurse told me some of your symptoms, some of which are not because of the medicine" The Doctor turned on the monitor beside me and picked up a device to put against my stomach.
"I'm scared." I admitted to the doctor.
"Mhm. Just as I suspected." He said as he shut off the monitor and wiped the cold gel off.
I sat up and looked up at him, " What's wrong with me? What's going on?"
"Congratulations Trinity, You're a mother!"
"What?" I whispered.
"You're a mother." He repeated. "Which should explain your stomach pains and nausea. You should get some rest."
"Go get Derek for me please."
"Yes ma'me." The doctor walked out and in a couple seconds Derek walked in.
"Baby? I heard what happened.. Are you okay?"
I shook my head my head at him and dropped it in my hands sobbing.
"Baby, I'm so sorry.." He whispered in my ear as he kissed my cheek.
I sobbed louder and he wrapped his arm around me.
"I'm pregnant Derek! I don't even know if it's yours or.. his..."
"Baby, it's probably mine. I promise it'll be okay"
"Probably." I rolled my eyes. I can't help the feeling of feeling like a slut. What is wrong with me? Why would I even let Derek have sex with me? And then.. him. It's all my fault.
"Baby, it's okay. Lets just go home and get some rest." He pleaded.
I put a fake smile on and stood up with him. "Okay babe. For you."
The doctor gave us permission to leave after handing me my medication and vitamins for the baby.
He smiled at me as Derek and I were walking outside to the car .
The whole car ride was silent. Nothing but the radio playing. We got to my house everyone was there.
My mother walked up to me, "I'm glad you're okay sweetie." She kissed my forehead.
"Thanks ma." My dad came and stood beside her with his arm draped over her shoulder. Melody came and walked up beside the both of them.
"We're glad you're okay." She sent a smile my way. I haven't seen or spoke to Melody in a while. I miss her. She hugged me softly. "I got you something!"
I stepped up to her and Dereks hand fell to his side. "Thanks." He laughed.
"Oops." I giggled and followed Melody upstairs to my room. As she charged up the stairs I slowly trudged up.
I stopped every few steps to take a breath. I was beginning to feel queasy.
Melody looked down at me, "You alright?"
I shook my head no and she jumped a few stairs down, "Trinity, What's wrong?"
I mumbled out the word, "Bathroom."
She scooped me up and ran up the stairs. The jiggling of me bouncing isn't helping my stomach at all.
Once she put me down I puked in the toilet.
"Mom! Dad! Get in here!" Melody yelled down the stairs.
The sounds of feet rushing upstairs and the door flying open hitting the wall gave me a huge headache.
I groaned and held my head as i puked up more in the toilet as someone held my hair back. "It's okay baby." Derek soothed in my ear. His hand slid up and down my back. He handed me a rag to wipe my mouth with.
"Thank you baby." He nodded and grabbed my hand and slowly walked passed my worried parents.
"I'll talk to them." He smiled at me.
"Don't tell them that I'm ... You know.."
"I wont." He smiled again.
"Thank you." I kissed his cheek.
He walked out the room and in came Melody.
"Sooo..." She stared at me.
"So what?"
"You're hiding something."
I bit my lip, "I'm not."
She squinted her eyes at me, "I know when you're lying."
"Mhm." I laughed. "Sure."
She grabbed a candy bar off my desk, "I do." She whispered and slowly walked out the room."Melody! Give it back!" She laughed and it echoed through the whole top floor. "No!" She shouted.
I sighed, "Family.." I whispered to myself. "I can't believe I'm about to make one of my own.
