Harper walked down the street on her way to the school. Even though she had her car, she decided to take a walk and enjoy the peace and quiet the city had to offer.
"You're amazing, Kitten," was still playing in her head. Sometimes it was Taylor who said it; sometimes, it was Addison.
Harper's peaceful walk was interrupted by a small explosion as a terrorist was running through the streets from the police and then took a turn down the school street and toward her.
"Not today, not ever," Harper said and proceeded to trip the terrorist's leg and make her fall over. She tried to make Harper's hand explode, but her power wasn't working.
The police caught up to them and took the terrorist into custody. Nothing was going to ruin Harper's mood this morning. She thanked the officers and continued down the street.
Dr. Hannah was waiting by the entrance of the school. "Did you hear the explosions?" She asked.
"Oh boy, did I? I stopped the girl. Bit disappointed, she was very easy to catch." Harper giggled, but Dr. Hannah was dumbfounded.
"Anyway, uh, I'll show you the class where you will do your training. I will shadow you for the first few days, and then I will review you every so often."
"Caitlyn Vol will oversee your work as well. She is the Teacher Coordinator for the high school, and she will help you with whatever you need."
Harper followed Dr. Hannah inside and they met Caitlyn. "Are you excited?" Caitlyn asked after the introductions. "I am," Harper answered.
"I trust that you have prepared the first lesson plan as we have instructed you," said Dr. Hannah, and Harper nodded.
"Well, the bell is about to ring, and I'm sure the kids will love you. Shall we get going?" Asked Caitlyn.
The bell started ringing, and the students of class Twelve-D were getting settled into their seats.
They were wary of the Teacher Coordinator and the head of the school, who were sitting in the back of the class, but they kept quiet.
When the last student sat down, the lights shut off unexpectantly, and lightning began shooting from the ceiling to the floor in the front of the classroom.
Dr. Hannah and Caitlyn were worried about the danger, but the lightning was confined to a single spot, and it didn't affect any students.
After the lightning was gone and the lights turned back on, a woman appeared where the lightning had struck.
Harper was kneeling where she was and rose up with a smile, knowing she had captivated the students.
She looked around at the shocked faces. "Hello class, I'm your new teacher. My name is Harper Dollinger.
But you can call me,
Hyper."
