I liked talking to Sunghoon. He never tried to make it awkward or anything, which made me open up and not feel this weird distance. He's going through the same thing I am, so sitting in the car while it's dead quiet, I don't think either of us would think it's awkward.

"Hello?" - "Why'd you call?" I heard Jay from the other side looking at Sunghoon, but his eyes already were looking at me. "I'm going to pick my things up in an hour." - "I'm at work." - "Who asked?" Jay laughed, "just don't wake up my bae." - "What the-" - "Bye." He hung up.

"What the actual fuck was that? Bae?!" Sunghoon laughed once he hung up, "I somehow have the urge to wake her up." I looked at him. He glanced at me while driving into a parking lot, "anything to make her unhappy." Sunghoon smiled, revealing his little fangs I haven't noticed yet.

Once we got our table at the little restaurant, I started looking at the menu. Everything looks unfamiliar... "Recommend me something." I shut the card, making him look at me thinking.

Sunghoon ordered the food and we started to talk to pass time. "That's a stupid reason to leave." - "I KNOW!" Sunghoon sighed, shaking his head. "Let's be real, your ex was bald as fuck." He drank his water nodding aggressively, "she was indeed really bald." We laughed.

"About the thing from today morning," Sunghoon mentioned it while we were eating "what were your conditions?", I thought. What were my conditions? "Well," I hesitated not knowing what to say "just typical things like not falling for each other or take it slow." - "Ah." He nodded slowly.

"Also, about living at your house. I'll try finding something soon, but as long as I'm living at yours, I'll pay rent." - "No, there's no need for that. I don't mind living with you to be honest, I get pretty lonely at home." He quietly said what made me smile. "Thank you. I will pay you tho, one day." I narrowed my eyes making him chuckle.

"I'll pay." I tried to take out my card when a hand was on mine, "I invited you." Sunghoon took out his credit card out of nowhere, handing it to the waitress. "Where did that come from?" I laughed shaking my head.

After we got into his car, I suggested to go eat ice cream. We drove to the nearest grocery store next to my old apartment with Jay and got our ice cream there. "Let's go to the swings." I decided, taking the lead. "Ahh, this feels good." A smile was plastered on Sunghoon's face as I was slowly swinging and eating the ice cream, "This reminds me of when Jay and I met," my smile dropped, making Sunghoon look at me "When we first met in university, we had a picnic here." I pointed at a place next to the river. "Should we also do it? Sounds like fun." He thought, a quiet laugh leaving his mouth. I nodded, "sure."

We fell into silence after that but didn't mind it, as kids were having fun on the playground. That was a good distraction, to be honest. I had always found peace in kids playing and having fun, it's just so beautiful seeing them live their life. Once you grow up you realize you are missing this time. The time were you didn't need to go to work, please people, have tons of stress and pay to live. You just got everything you wanted and needed without working hard.

I turned to side when I heard a honk, "Jay." I recognized getting up. "Already picked up your stuff, Ra?" I shook my head at his question. "Hop in, I'm heading home anyways." Once again I shook my head leaving a confused look on his face, "I'm here with a friend, I'll just walk with him." Jay nodded slowly looking at Sunghoon, who was now walking towards the car. Sunghoon interwined our hands, shocking me for a second "Should we?" he smiled at me. I left an agreeing sound and walked with him as Jay just laughed.
"Thank you." I whispered, leaning more to him, knowing Jay was still watching us in his car.

"I guess that's all, for now." I mumbled, rolling the suitcases into the living room. Jay's new girl had woken up by the time we arrived and smiled at us leave. It wasn't a nice smile or something with guilt it was a I'm-trying-to-be-proud-about-my-actions smile. I could hit her.

"The time with you was nice, Ra." Jay stopped me. Sunghoon went ahead with my suitcases as I took the bag "Don't ever dare to lie like that." I looked at him, while he was leaning on the wall. Jay looked down at first, probably thinking about what to say or hesitating with the thing he wanted to tell me. I just put on my shoes now saying my last goodbye, "also, don't call me that stupid nickname, I'm sick of it." I mumbled clearly enough for him to hear "good luck, Jay Park." I smiled halfhearted and finally left our old shared apartment.

"You okay?" Sunghoon asked once I sat in the car. I shook my head not being able to say something. All the food we ate earlier was about to make it's way out of my mouth, all the pain I held in was about to be shown and the worst thing, all the tears I have held were now making their way out. "Fuck." I laughed, looking out of the window.

Sunghoon made a few noises before I felt something around me. Not just something, it was Sunghoon. He was hugging me, stroking my back. He was giving me silent comfort, the best treatment. "Thank you." I mumbled, my head buried in his torso that is now wet from all those tears. Sunghoon stayed quiet, just hugging me and stroking my hair to call me down.

"Why don't we go home, cuddle and watch horror movies?" Sunghoon drove into the parking lot of the apartments. Home? Our home? I nodded, liking the idea, "I'd love it." I smiled at him.
