I came home pretty late, expecting Eura to be there. After I went to the graveyard, I stayed there till the sun set to see her on her day and ate the cake. Bora joined me after sometime and after bringing her home, I thought I would see Eura sleeping in the room, but she was nowhere to be found.

I was sitting on the couch, watching TV in boredom. I heard laughs from the outside of the apartment and a few sounds before the door opened, making me jump off.

"Thank you for bringing me home and thank you for the gift." I heard Euras high pitched voice and a male laugh afterwards. This made me curious as hell so I fully got up and went on the hallway. "No problem, text me when you need something." Eura stepped into the apartment as the man was standing outside of it. Euras eyes opened widely seeing me there, my arms crossed and my eyebrows raised. "Good night, Jay." She quickly said before closing the door.

"Jay?" I asked when she took off her shoes, "What were you doing with Jay at this hour?!" She heard me talking but completely ignored me and just walked into the bedroom, "I told you to not meet him anymore. What was the reason?" Eura sighed finally looking into my face, "are you my boyfriend? Or why do you care?" I titled my head.

What? I thought we were in some kind of stage? I thought we were getting to know each other? Wasn't that all about?

I cleared my throat, "you're right, I shouldn't have asked." – "Thank you." Eura sighed once again, now opening the wrapped box. "Wha-" I wanted to ask what and why he would gift her something, but I had no right to do so. We weren't something after all. She looked at me to finish my sentence but all I did was form my lips into a straight line and look down, "nevermind. I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight." I took my pillow and went to take out a blanket from the closet.

"Hm? What? Why?" Eura got up from the bed. "I'm not your boyfriend or similar to that, I shouldn't be sleeping in one blanket on one bed with you, good night." I gave her a last smile before fully leaving the room.

I'm pretty sure she wanted to say something or just hold my hand to stop me. She was kind of right though, we're not anything so why should we act like we are?

I couldn't really sleep because of what happened with Sunghoon at night. Was I too mean? I didn't mean to hurt him in a way but I ended up really doing it.

I saw the sunlight coming into the room, making me get up from my bed. I sighed after leaving the room but stopped in my steps, when I saw a small box with a note on it on the island.

I looked around for Sunghoon but he already left.

Happy belated birthday, Eura. You should've told me it's your birthday, how could you label this big day as something not so important? I'm sorry if I annoyed you last night, but I thought about your words and you're right, I am not someone who is involved in your lovelife. I hope you still had a great day yesterday, I bought you a gift, if you want we can celebrate tonight.

I read the note for myself as my eyes got glossy, however opening the box made me laugh a little. "Really, a cake?" I smiled looking at the mini cake. Happily I ate it for breakfast, while replying to stories and posts my friend had posted for me.

I held my breath before opening the housedoor. I don't know if Eura is still mad, if she read the note I left her or if she even is home. I was scared to come home that's why I hesitated for a hot minute in front of the door. 

"I'm home." I mumbled walking into the living room just to see Eura sleeping on the couch with the tv on. Gaeul, my dog, was walking around and even jumped on the couch. "No no no," I shook my head looking at her. Quickly I placed her gift and my bag on the floor to get Gaeul. "Let her sleep." I shook my head again as she looked down. I smiled at my dog and went to the room with her.

I'll just play with Gaeul as long as Eura doesn't wake up.

Quite a while later, Eura knocked on the door and opened it the same time. I cleared my throat and looked at her, putting away the toy I gave Gaeul. "Hey." She said touching her right elbow with the left hand. "Hey, did you sleep well?" Eura laughed a little as she nodded, "I couldn't sleep well last night, so I took the chance." I nodded in silence when she sat down next to me.

She looked at Gaeul and watched her play, but I was looking at Eura. "I placed your gift on the floor next to you. Did you open it?" Eura probably heard what I asked but didn't answer so fast. Just after seconds she looked at me and back to the dog, "Why don't we go on a walk? With her?" I also glared at the dog and back to her and got up with a nod.

We walked around the neighbourhood, not talking and just watching Gaeul. "Thank you, for the gift but it wasn't necessary." Eura spoke up looking at me. "No worries, of course it was." She giggled a little, "sorry for yesterday, I don't know why I acted that way." She stopped laughing and looked at me dead serious. "It's totally okay. Trust me, I should be the one apologizing." Eura shook her head. "Shut up and just accept mine so we can forget all this." I watched her smile at me when my cheeks got red. Quickly I looked up to the smile with a big smile on my face.
