I stood there for a second watching in horror as the demons happily munched away at Brian's body. "Hurry up," the librarian called from inside. Tearing my eyes away from the gruesome sight, I hurried inside and followed the old lady. She led me into a room that I swear was not there last time. The lady began to clear off a table full of papers and books brushing all of the things onto the floor. "Set him down," she instructed rummaging through a cluttered desk. I laid Leo down on the table and anxiously waited for the librarian. "What were you thinking?" the lady grumbled as she continued her search, "You couldn't have waited sixty more seconds? I was almost ready." "I didn't know that!" I told her, "I figured you were dead!" "Dead," the librarian scoffed, "I'm the person who set this thing up!" "You set up the cult?" I asked. "NO," she replied, "The time loop!" "Oh," I said, "That makes sense." "Come help me," she demanded still searching the desk. Rushing over, I began to help search through the desk. To say it was messy was an understatement, it looked like a hurricane came through. "Um, what are we looking for?" I asked. "Healing crystals," she replied, "Don't you have those here?" I shook my head, "Not really, people sell rocks claiming they're healing crystals, but they don't work." "Well, they exist," she said, "I brought three. If I had known you guys were so breakable, I would have brought more." Laughing awkwardly, I turned a paper over and found three light blue crystals the size of my middle finger. "Found them," I said picking them up and holding them out to her. "Perfect," she replied snatching them from my hand and rushing back over to Leo who was still bleeding out. She placed two of them against his side and began to chant.

Suddenly the crystals started glowing and the wound on Leo's side stopped bleeding and slowly knitted itself back together. Once it was healed, the librarian cut the cast off his leg and pressed the last crystal against it. Once again, it began to glow and she started chanting. When she was done, she turned and glared at me, "What did you do to him!? Put him in a meat grinder!? You, humans, are too breakable! I don't have enough supplies for this!" "He got attacked by a demon!" I told her, "And what do you mean 'You humans'?!" She just shook her head and ignored me, "His side is completely healed, but I couldn't fully heal the leg. He should be able to walk but there will be a slight limp, once you finish with all of this bring him to the hospital so they can fix it." I nodded, "Thank you so much for the help... " "Margret," the lady laughed, "And to answer your question from earlier, I'm not a human, I'm a world keeper." "A what?" I asked. "I'll explain when your friend wakes up," Margret grinned, "Healing someone uses a lot of their energy." Margaret was about to exit the room when she turned to me and glared, "Make sure that boy doesn't do anything stupid! I don't have any more of those crystals, and please go calm your other friends down! They're a mess!" After that, she disappeared into a doorway, and not long after the door disappeared too. Glancing back at Leo, I saw he was still asleep, so I decided to go check on my other friends. I exited the room and walked into what looked like a lounge. There were piles of books stacked around the room, there were cushy red armchairs, and it had a small fireplace. Saying they were a mess was an absolute understatement. Jack was hyperventilating in a corner, Ella looked ready to hop in a car and drive off a cliff, and Anna was curled up in a ball on the floor sobbing her eyes out. Which do I calm down first? Deciding to go with the most concerning person, I went over to Jack and placed my hands on his shoulders.

"Hey," I whispered, "Can you breathe with me?" Jack didn't reply. Taking my hands off his shoulders, I put my hand where he could see it and put my fingers down. "Breath in," I instructed, "One, two, three four," I counted lifting my fingers as I said each number. "Breath out," I told him, putting them back down. I continued the process and eventually, Jack joined me. After a few minutes, Jack's breathing was back to normal. "How do you feel?" I asked him, "Can you breathe?" Jack nodded, "Yeah, thank you." "Of course," I smiled, "I can't have you pass out from lack of oxygen. He let out a small chuckle and smiled back. Determining Jack was alright, I headed over to Anna. Kneeling, I grabbed Anna, and pulled her into a hug. She flung her arms around me and buried her head in my shoulder. I sat there and held her as she cried, rubbing her back and talking about random things. Eventually, her sobs turned into sniffles, and she stopped crying. "How are you feeling?" I asked. "I'm feeling better," Anna smiled weakly, "Thank you." "No problem," I said letting go of her and heading over to Ella who was rooted in place. "Hey Ella," I said approaching her carefully, "Can you take a deep breath?" "Why!?" she snapped. "Because," I told her, "You're upset, and it'll help calm you down. "What are you, my mom!?" she asked. "No", I replied, "I just want to make sure you don't say something you regret." "Take a hike," she muttered, "I don't need your help." I sighed; this was going to take a while. "Do you want to tell me what you're mad about?" I asked. "NO," she told me, "I don't." Ugh! She's acting like a teenager! "Whatever it is I have a feeling everyone here will agree with you," I told her. "Really?" she asked doubtfully. I nodded, "Yeah." "Fine," she said, "I'll tell you." "I'm mad because we planned to hang out with each other for a week and it got RUINED!" Ella screamed, "WE WALKED THROUGH THE WOODS FOR THREE DAYS! I GOT MY PERIOD AND I HAD TO USE THOSE CHEAP, SHITTY TAMPONS FOR A WEEK! NOT TO MENTION THE FACT WE ARE BEING CHASED BY LITERAL DEMONS! THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE HAS SUCKED!"

"I agree with you on everything," I told her, "Except for the tampon part. I didn't experience that, but this has sucked. But now we have the help of a world keeper, whatever that is, so it should be easier to take care of the demons and we also know their weakness now." "True," Ella mumbled, "I guess it's not too bad." I smiled, looks like everyone has calmed down. Now that everyone was relatively okay, I went over to one of the armchairs and plopped down. It was one of the softest chairs I had ever sat in, the cushion practically engulfed me, and the back of the chair felt like a pillow. I closed my eyes and sighed; I was exhausted. After everything that had happened, this was the most comfortable I had been in a while. My eyelids began to sag, I let them slip shut and drifted off into a dreamless sleep. Suddenly, I felt the chair tipping. My eyes shot open and I scrambled to grab something, but it was no use. I fell out of the chair and faceplanted onto the carpeted ground. I sat up and turned to glare at the person who'd woken me, it was Margret. She stood there grinning at me, "Seriously?" I huffed annoyed. She just laughed, "It was the quickest way to wake you up, your accident-prone blonde woke up and he refuses to listen to me. I need you to explain what's going on to him." Yeah, makes sense. If I woke up somewhere and had a lady tell me she was magic, I wouldn't trust her either. "I'll go do that," I told her getting off the floor and heading back to the room Leo was in. When I found him, he was standing in a defensive position at the opposite end of the room with bloody scissors in his hand. Oh my gosh, don't tell me he stabbed her. "Is the witch gone?" He asked. "Yes," I told him, "And she's not a witch, she's a world keeper and her name is Margret." "What's a world keeper?"

"I have no idea," I replied, "But whatever it is, it's not a witch." "How do you know?" he asked walking over to me, "You don't even know what a world keeper is." "True," I said, "But she's been helpful so far so I think we can trust her." "Brian was nice, to begin with," Leo pointed out. "Good point, but from what I've seen she's trustworthy. Besides she promised to tell us what was going on." He raised his eyebrow, "How do we know she isn't lying to us?" "We don't," I told him, "But I'd like to know what's going on because every lie has a truth to it." "If you say so," he said setting the scissors down. "Come on, let's go find out what's going on," I said walking to where Margret and the others were. I entered the lounge and Leo followed behind me, once everyone had gathered Marget stood in front of us. "Good your all here," She grinned, "Now for all of this to make sense, I need to explain to you who the Master is."

That's it, this chapter is shorter but that's all that was needed for this chapter, so I ended it. My sister came up with the idea of the healing crystals while we were joking around so credit to her. I'll see you next week! Have a great day! Bye! 🙃

Hi, this is Liz's editor/sister! I would like to explain how the healing crystal came to be. So, we were on vacation and during our morning jog Liz was complaining about her legs hurting and I saw this rock that looked kinda like a crystal on the ground. So, I picked it up and threw it at her while shouting that it was a healing crystal! And that is how the healing crystal was brought into the story.
