"Leo!" my friend Steve called, "Get over here!" "Coming!" I shouted back. Standing up from where I sat, I walked over to my friends. They were talking to the lady that gave the idiots from earlier a ride back to their cabin. "What?" I asked once I got to them. "There's a scavenger hunt," Steve said, "Everyone is going. Do you want to do it?" I shrugged, "I don't care, I'm good with whatever." "What about telling the scary stories?" James asked pouting. "We can do that tomorrow," Kyle told him, "Besides, being social wouldn't hurt." "Yes, let's go hang out with hundreds of people that we don't know that sounds like so much fun," I muttered. "I thought you didn't care," Steve said. "I don't," I stated, "I'm just making a point." Kyle rolled his eyes, "Well stop making your points if you're staying neutral." "What is this war?" James asked. "No, it's a political debate," I said, "We'll be here all night and argue like children." "Dude, stop trashing politics for no reason," Steve whispered, "We're not in England." "I feel the need to remind you that Leo has never been to England let alone lived there," Kyle said. "Wait what?" Steve muttered confused, "Then how is he British?" I stifled a laugh, "Steve save your idiocy for when we don't have company." "Company?" James asked, "We have company?" "Yes," Kyle sighed, "We were asked if we wanted to go on a scavenger hunt and the person who asked is still here." James's eyes widened and he glanced over to where the lady was standing. "Oh, yeah," He murmured, "I forgot she was there." Kyle pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, "Do we want to go or not?" "I don't know let's talk about it for another half hour," I said. "Leo! Now is not the time for sarcasm!" Kyle reprimanded. "It is always time for sarcasm," I muttered glaring at him.

"I don't want to go," James said. "I'll go if other people want to go," Steve stated. "Okay, so there is one person who doesn't want to go, two people who don't want to but will if they have two, and one person who wants to go. Is that correct?" Kyle asked. We all nodded. Turning back around to face the lady, Kyle smiled, "We won't be going." The lady nodded, wished us a good night, and left. "You know," Steve said, "Now that I think about it we probably shouldn't have had that conversation right in front of her." "Ya think?" Kyle asked annoyed. "Yeah, it was kind of rude," Steve told him. "Steve, Kyle already knows that," I stated. "Oh," Steve said. "So, what do we want to do now?" James asked. "Right now I feel like drowning all three of you," Kyle said. "I already got one person threatening to drown me," I said, "I don't need another. Think of some other way to kill us." Kyle rolled his eyes, "Or I can wait for it to happen naturally and not have to worry about going to jail." "That works too," I said, "But you'll be stuck with us for a long time." We goofed off for a while longer before finally eating dinner. Once we ate, it was around seven. "Do you guys want to tell scary stories now?" James asked grinning. Kyle sighed and sat next to the fire, "Sure but I'm not staying up for anyone if they get scared." Steve laughed, "If anything Kyle, you're the one who will get scared." "Really?" I asked, "Because if I remember correctly, you wet yourself last time." Steve turned a bright red, "WE ALL AGREED NOT TO BRING THAT UP!" "I don't remember agreeing to anything," I shrugged. Steve turned to Kyle and James, "You guys remember agreeing to that, right!?" "We agreed not to bring it up around other people," James said, "And as far as I can tell, we're the only ones around." Steve groaned, "Why do you remember that!?" "Because," I smirked, "It was funny." "It was embarrassing!" Steve yelled. "It was pretty funny," Kyle agreed, "It's only embarrassing because it happened to you."

"You know what forget it!" Steve muttered, "Just tell the stories." "Okay," James chuckled, sitting down, "Who's going first?" "Not me," I said sitting next to Kyle. "Defiantly not me," Kyle replied, "I suck at telling scary stories." "You do," James agreed. "HEY!" Kyle shouted, "You're not supposed to agree with me!" "He's just being honest," I laughed. Kyle turned to face me with an offended look, "You too!?" "Yep," I grinned. "Well, I guess we know who's sleeping outside tonight," Kyle stated. "You can't do that!" I yelled, "It's my tent too!" "Well not anymore," he replied, "You lost tent privileges, you have to sleep outside." "Fine," I said crossing my arms, "I'll just sleep with James and Steve." "You are not sleeping with us," James said, "You talk in your sleep, and it is the scariest thing in the world." "It can't be that bad," I muttered. "Why don't you wake up in the middle of the night to someone screaming like a demon and see how you like it," Steve replied, "We all thought you were possessed. I rolled my eyes, "Whatever, let's just tell the stories." "I'll go first!" Steve declared. "Oh joy, we get to hear your sorry attempt at being scary," I remarked. "Well excuse you but everyone else says my stories are great," Steve scoffed, "Besides what's wrong with my stories?" "They're unrealistic," I told him, "Ghosts and demons aren't real." Steve rolled his eyes, "You're too realistic, it's called suspension of belief and for all, we know ghosts and demons could be real." I opened my mouth to reply only to get cut off by James, "We can settle this debate tomorrow let Steve tell his story." "Fine," I muttered. Steve smiled and began his story, "This story takes place long ago when this lake was first founded. One night a family of five stumbled across this lake, they were in search of land to build their home. They stopped their wagon in a small clearing by the lake and rested there for the night. They decided to build their home there so the next day they began to clear the area and build the house."
