You Play Guitar?

When I thought of going to Weathervane with Ajax to play my guitar like I used to in my specific booth, I didn't expect Xavier and Bianca to be sitting in that booth on what seems to be a date. Bianca being the first to notice us as we walk into the building

"Xavier, is that Ajax and that new kid? What's his name again?" Bianca asks

"Grimm?" Xavier then turns around in his seat and looks over at us with wide yet curious eyes, he looks at me then to the guitar case in my hand as Ajax and I walk over to them. Mostly just Ajax dragging me by the arm over to them. "You play guitar?"

I look at my guitar case then back to Xavier, "only a little bit."

"Oh that is such bull! You told me you've been playing for years and that you'd play here all the time!" Ajax outs me and I just glare at him.

"It's been a while, I haven't played in a long time, so I can't promise I am any good anymore" I roll my eyes "What are you guys up to?" I gesture to Xavier and Bianca to change the subject.

"Oh, we're just catching up" Bianca smiles and was about to say more before Ajax cut her off

"I'm glad you guys are getting along, me and Grimm are just here to grab some coffee before we head on our way back to the school. He promised to play me a few songs. So we're gonna grab our drinks and head out now" he improvises and drags me by the arm again and takes me to the counter before the two could say anything

Samantha stood at the counter excitedly as she saw us approach. "A new man already? You move on fast" She gestures to Ajax and I, and his grip on my arm.

"You're still wrong Sam, Ajax here is like my best friend. We just wanna get some drinks and get out of here" I shake my head and chuckle at her

"Whatever you say Grimm, what can I get you both?" Sam asks

"I'll take a caramel macchiato iced" I state with a smile, "and what would you like Ajax?"

"I'd like that one strawberry drink you guys have? I forgot what it's called" Ajax says

"Alright, I'll grab that for you guys. that'll be $7.93" Sam says as Ajax goes to pull out his wallet

"No, I got it. You got me away from those two back there. The least I can do is pay for some drinks" I say to Ajax as I hand Sam a 10 dollar bill.

Ajax rolls his eyes and laughs catching the attention of Xavier who had been glancing over at the two of us for some time without us noticing. "It was awkward for the both of us." Ajax says, and I nod in agreement.

Sam hands me my change and gives us our drinks and sends us on our way. I take one last glance towards Xavier just before I walk out the doors of Weathervane.

---------------Xavier's pov-----------------

I couldn't help but have this odd feeling inside of me when I saw Ajax and Grimm walk into the Weathervane smiling and talking to each other so closely. Have they always been like that? Have I just not noticed within the time Grimm's been here?

I snap out of it as Ajax drags Grimm over to us. His hand so tightly grasped onto Grimm's, it's like he was afraid to let go, but he did.

We talk for a few moments about Grimm and his guitar skills, before he changes the subject. Which led to Bianca say "we're just catching up" which isn't true but is at the same time. We we're talking about her thing for Lucas. Yet we couldn't explain that due to being cut off. It all went by so fast that maybe Grimm got the wrong idea.

Why does that matter to me anyways? But before I could think on it longer they were already turning around and heading to the counter. Ajax's hand firmly on Grimm's once more.
