"You must be a mix of both, you have to balance being selfish and being selfless." That's what he grew up hearing his whole life. He tried to take it to heart, to always remember it, but he took it the wrong way. He was a twin, he was also an older brother to his little brother, but most importantly, he was a twin. He was wholly selfless. His twin, Wilbur, was wholly selfish. They technically were a mix of both selfishness and selflessness, but not in the way their father intended. He wanted them to act like princes, they were older now, they were twelve, and they had to work on being perfect. Wilbur took everything whenever he wanted, he didn't care much about the servants or their wellbeings, he was selfish, which Techno believed to be worse than being selfless. Well, in a way it was. It was easier to be selfish, it was more convenient for the person themselves. Being selfless was better for others, but it was worse for the selfless person in question. Techno often ignored chores and homework and studies for other people who needed help. It stunted his knowledge and education, but he didn't mind much, he still got his studies done and was just as smart as Wilbur, who was, decidedly, not as smart. Wilbur struggled with most things. Being kind, understanding, smart, empathetic, sympathetic, happy, grateful, all that stuff. He wasn't much of a prince. Techno wasn't quite there yet, either, but he was better than Wilbur. If his father had to choose one of his sons to be the next king, it would probably be Techno. Tommy wasn't quite old enough, or anything else you need to be a king. He was five, almost six, so... yeah, he wouldn't be the king. He was loud, abrasive, clumsy, you know, not very king worthy. His father was king worthy. Everyone in the Artic Empire loved him. He was fair, and kind, Techno considered him a genius. His twin was more like his mom, maybe that's why he wasn't fit to be king yet. She was amazing, don't get him wrong, but she was more musical and creative, she was extremely kind and unbelievably perfect, so yeah, still nothing like Wilbur but he was more like her than their father. He was like their mom if she was satan. He was kind of evil. Like the time he pushed Tommy down the staircase for saying Wilbur's glasses looked dumb, or the time he punched Techno in the face for joking about being smarter than him, or the time he slammed Techno's head into the wall for telling him that he was a bad person, the list goes on.
