October 13, 1995

Jihyo's POV

"You are doing well my flower, don't worry, Dongwon is on his way." Appa said holding my hand, I was breathing in and out heavily as I felt more pressure on my abdomen.

I was with Appa at home when my water suddenly broke, Appa immediately rushed me to the hospital and had someone report to Dongwon that I was in labor already.

Now I was on a hospital bed, holding Appa's hand, breathing heavily as I felt more and more pain on my abdomen.

The pain was almost unbearable, I think I might even cry later from it.

I really need Dongwon.

"Jihyo!" I turned to the door and there my husband stood. Dongwon immediately rushes to me, holding my hand and kissing my forehead. "D-Dongwon, it hurts.." I let out. "I know, I'm sorry I can't do anything to help." He said and kisses my head.

"Jaewoo, what did the doctor say?" Dongwon asked. "Jihyo is not dilated enough to push yet, she said it might take a few more minutes, even hours." Appa explained. "Thank you for bringing her here." "You don't need to thank me, she's my daughter, now I have to check on something, I'll be back soon." Appa said and then kissed my forehead.

"You can do this my flower." Appa encouraged, I just smiled slightly before he left.

I whimpered again, as I felt another painful contraction. "Jihyo, remember to breath, look at me.." Dongwon said. I looked at him, breathing in and out, trying to calm myself from the pain. "That's it little girl, you're doing well." He said.

Two more hours of painful contractions, doctor Kang walks in the room. "Hello Jihyo, how are you feeling?" She said as she put on rubber gloves. "Pain.." I whispered as I felt more pressure build up on my abdomen.

"Well let's have a look.." She said and checked my lower half. "Oh! You are ready to push, nurse! Get everything ready." She said and the nurses got the necessary prep ready.

Dongwon stood by my side, holding my hand and kissing my head. "You can do this little girl, I'm right here with you.." He said and I just nodded.

"Alright Jihyo, I will be counting to five, and while I count I need you to push okay?" Doctor Kang said and I nodded. "Okay, let's start...ready and, one, two..."

I pushed with all my might as she counted, holding my breath as I did. "And five, okay breath first, you're doing well."

I breathed in and out, my chest heaving. "Again one more time..one, two, three.."
I squeezed Dongwon's hand and pushed again.

How do mothers do this?

"And five, again breath Jihyo, you're doing great.."

"You are an amazing woman Jihyo, you are bringing our son into this world, a little bit more and we will meet him soon." Dongwon whispered and kissed me. I smiled weakly, I was exhausted.

"Alright, this might be the final push Jihyo, so get ready...push again,

one,

two,

three,

four,

and.....

and he's here!"

I cried out of happiness, hearing my son cry as he was placed on my chest, Dongwon cut the cord and then the nurses cleaned him up and wrapped him up in a bundle.

I cried as I pat his back, calming him down, he soon stopped and Dongwon kissed me lovingly. "You did so well Jihyo, he is perfect." Dongwon said and he stared at our son.

He had a cute nose, chubby cheeks, plump little lips and pretty eyes. I smiled as I looked at him pride and joy. "What will you be naming him?" The nurse asked. I looked at Dongwon.

"Jimin. Park Jimin." I smiled.

"Beautiful name." The nurse said.

After everything has calmed down and doctor Kang confirming that Jimin was healthy, I was able to relax a bit. I was resting up while Dongwon was carrying Jimin in his arms, occasionally whispering things to him. My heart melted upon seeing Dongwon so happy to finally meet our baby.

"Dongwon, let me breastfeed him, he hasn't fed yet." I said, Dongwon walks to me, gently placing Jimin in my arms, I let him breastfeed and he eagerly fed. I sighed in content.

"You should rest after Jimin feeds Jihyo, you did all the work." Dongwon said. "I will be okay Dongwon, in fact I am more than okay now that Jimin is born." I said and looked at my son. He finished feeding so I just held him in my arms.

"I'm glad too, he is absolutely perfect." Dongwon said as he sat next to me, caressing our son's face.

"Thank you Jihyo, you have given me a son and I promise you that I will take care and protect both of you with everything that I've got."

"You don't need to promise Dongwon because I know you love me and our son and will do everything. I love you.."

"I love you, little girl."
