Day 1 - Tempe, Arizona

The sound of my worn out boots hitting the cement flooring echoed throughout the venue. My grey eyes scanning over the empty room, trying to imagine that there'd be hundreds of kids packing the place in just a few hours. I never got used to it, all the people coming to see my band play and actually giving a damn about our small band from Delaware. My mind seemed to drift off, not realizing somebody was calling my name.

"Bree!" A voice shouted from behind me. I turned around to be greeted by the bassist of my band, Will.

A grin etched out across my face. "What do you want, loser?" I joked.

He gave me a fake laugh. "C'mon we need to soundcheck."

I nodded and took his hand as he helped me up on stage. I was surprised our crew had already set up everything, or maybe I had just really been lost in thought.

Tyler picked up his guitar while James took a seat on his stool in front of the drum kit. A certain guitarist was missing though.

"Guys, where the hell is Evan?" I asked, noticing his absence.

As if on cue, Evan strutted out and picked up his guitar. He was always late, which was quite humorous and annoying at the same time.

I rolled my eyes. "Glad of you to join us Mr. Collins."

He gave me a grin and a wink, I shook my head and chuckled. We began soundcheck, which took longer than usual because one of the amps decided to act up; thankfully it'd be fixed before the show. Once we were done we let the other bands soundcheck, I was happy that we got to soundcheck second. Generally on the first day of tour, whenever you soundcheck is the spot you'll be sound checking for the rest of tour and we were lucky enough to do ours second, right after The Maine. I greeted The Technicolors as we walked out of the venue, giving all of them a hug before heading back to the busses.

There were kids already lining up which was extremely surprising considering doors opened at 6pm and it was only 2pm at the moment. We waved at a few that noticed us and continued to the buses. As we walked towards our bus, we ran into The Maine. I was actually pretty stoked to be on tour with them because I was secretly a big fan.

"Hey guys!" Pat greeted us. I had talked to all the others beforehand except John, for some reason he was always busy.

I smiled at him, my eyes glancing over at John only to see he was already staring at me. "You guys excited for tour?" I asked.

"Hell yeah!" They all seemed to say at once causing me to laugh.

My eyes seemed to be pulled back to John's grassy green orbs, he was honestly beautiful. A grin stretched across his face causing me to go almost weak at the knees, my cheeks tinted a light shade of pink and I snapped my eyes away from John to save myself from further embarrassment.

James glanced down at me and wiggled his eyebrows, I rolled my eyes and elbowed him in the ribs.
