Gif up top is of Bree!

Day 2 - Anaheim, CA

We arrived in Anaheim at 6:45 am, I knew this because I was the only one up; well besides our bus driver. I sat and talked/pestered him for hours, my mind was too energetic to fall asleep. Maybe the nap contributed to that as well..

I kind of wanted to explore the city before soundcheck but nobody was up and I wasn't too keen on going alone, my eyes drifted to the door and back to the television where a rerun of Friends was playing.

Yolo I thought to myself as I pushed myself up off the couch and slipped on some shoes before quietly exiting the bus, there was a slight breeze that caused goosebumps to raise on my skin. Maybe shorts weren't the best option. I walked past the buses and as I was walking past The Maine's I noticed a figure standing there that I couldn't quite make out, I'm sure I looked like a complete idiot just standing there squinting into darkness.

"Hi." A voice spoke out causing me to jump.

"Who's there?" I whisper shouted.

A chuckle was heard along with footsteps coming my way, I prepared myself to punch whoever was walking closer if they were a stranger.

"Just me, don't shoot!" John joked, raising his hands in surrender.

I let out a sigh of relief and laughed. "Sorry, I can't see anything; thought you were a creeper."

He shrugged. "That's a matter of opinion."

This was amazing, he was actually talking to me and not being weird.

"Well, I don't think you're a creeper." I told him, earning a beautiful smile in return.

"Thanks." He laughed.

There was a slight awkward pause between us before he spoke up again. "So why are you up so early?"

The sun had started to slowly rise now, the sky turning about 50 shades of blue.

"Couldn't sleep, my mind won't shut off. You?" I told him, leaning against the bus.

He nodded. "Same." John sighed.

Another silence fell over us except this time it wasn't awkward, we just watched the sun come up together. I couldn't help the small smile that lit up my face, I was glad that it wasn't awkward between the two of us; well in this moment it wasn't. We watched the sky for maybe about 20 minuets before I decided to get ready for the day.

"See you later, John." I waved, walking back to the bus.

"Bye, Bree." Just the sound of him saying my name caused my cheeks to heat up.

He could cuss me out and I'd still think it would sound amazing. What was wrong with me?
