Chapter 57: Timeskip!!!

From Gaara's kidnapping things only got worse, across the countries jinchuriki were being kidnapped left and right. All nations suffered greatly, shinobi were being killed as investigations were made. The Akatsuki being behind all of this, just when we would get a new lead to a hide out the place was completely destroyed leaving no evidence behind. Our own shinobi had there own encounters with them beings able to take a couple down but in one bloody battle it left with one of our truest shinobi dead. Asuma, and it was just the beginning of the assaults on our own village. The major assault was Pains attack, one of the strongest from the Akatsuki, Naruto and his team was able to take them down but just by a few hairs leaving him almost to die. Master Jiraya and aunt Tsunade were completely taken down that day, both of them were still in a coma. We were down bad as our strongest attempted to recuperate.

Communities within the fire nation came to rebuild the village. The attack leaving us with almost nothing. The majority of us living in temporary shelters, poor Yamato due to his skills was pulled to become the head of development and on top of that did his best at still being of service to us.

Shisui and I wedding was postponed indefinitely. The wedding planning was a thing of the past. It would be a real distaste getting married under these circumstances.

There were disputes within clans and against other clans. Some complaining others we're doing less and others were taking on too much. But the worse was when an official fact was leaked. There was a Sharingan user within the Akatsuki. Some claimed it as a Uchiha, others claimed it was a shinobi who stole a Sharingan. From the few intel we've received the Sharingan user was very skilled and knew how to use it making people assume it was an actual Uchiha.

We were in yet another meeting, lord Hiashi Hyuga was starting to really lash out. "For all we know they could all be in on it!" He lashed his hands out towards the Uchiha's that were their. "Enough! Hiashi you think I'm not up to here with the constant allegation my clan gets. The police force has been dismantled, all Uchiha's have been dispersed with our village department need's what else do you want?!" He paused closing his eyes as he balled his fists on the table. "Right now all my clans members are under full watch. Any miss step and an investigation is being done." I pursed my lips as he said this, the Uchiha clan was being accused and pressured. With enough push it could cause an uproar within the village. "This argument is pointless! We're supposed to be setting who the acting hokage will be the summit a week away!" Shikaku refocused us, "All in favor of Kakashi Hatake?!" I sung loudly, several hands went up. Counting up the hands, "All in favor of Shikaku Nara?!" Fewer hands went up, "It's settled!" I looked over to Kakashi nodding.

The meeting was over from there, walking back to our shelter. I looked around nothing was the same, rubble, wreckage and remains piled up in mounds. Makeshift shelters of wood here and there, children working and doing what they could. Grim faces of villagers as they grieved of their homes, business and life earnings now left to start from the rock bottom. The guilt I felt pressed onto my chest, what fault was it for the villagers. Why bring some much destruction to a community to innocent people.

"How are they doing?" I asked Shizune, glancing up she sulked. "Nothing" she sighed. Taking a deep breath I sat in the desk made for aunt Tsunade for when she would wake up, hopefully. "Kari?" Glancing outside as the sun radiated down, "I think she's with the younger kids helping out." Humming I threw my head back closing my eyes, hoping the pounding of my head would pause if a little. "Still arguing?" Shizune asked, "Like always! I honestly don't know how the Uchiha clan can tolerate all the accusations. I would of fucking left by now." Yawning, "Kakashi's the stand by hokage." Opening my eyes back up and looked at the ceiling, she hummed having already predicted that. "Who's he taking to the summit?" She walked closer, shrugging my shoulders. "I have a feeling it'll be Shikaku and who knows who else." "You maybe?" Shizune voiced, "Hopefully not." Sighing, I wondered how Shisui was doing. He was in the capital joined with Itachi and a couple others as personal security for the lord of fire, it was set he would be there for a while. No date of when he'll return.
