Chapter 2: Lunch

Gai sensei right away put us to training. He paired me up with Lee and Hinata and Shino together. I had to admit Lee was good, especially with his speed. His technique was one molded similar to Gai sensei. At first I was having trouble keeping up but soon caught up to his pattern. He was fast and you had to have quick thinking with him. Gai sensei would cheer Lee on as the star pupil but soon noticed the rest of us would get annoyed. "Kari keep it going! Look at you keeping up with Lee. May be you should train under me." My right fist was heading to Lee face but as soon as I heard that I lost full concentration, missed his face and fell forward. "Sorry Gai sensei, you took me by surprise." I said as I stood back up. Gai sensei laughed, " Thats quite alright" as he patted me on the back a little to hard. "Lets take a lunch everyone!" Everyone except Lee sighed in relief. My stomach was growling so it was good timing. I hadn't grabbed my lunch my mom had packed for me so I'd have to go grab something. "Hinata could you come with me into town so I can grab something for lunch?" "Sure!" Hinata smiled, I could always count on her. "May I accompany you ladies?!" Lee asked. We nodded and started walking. Shino and Gai sensei stayed behind. Poor Shino looked as if she was gonna have a hard time He ducked in his overly big shirt and jacket, having to come up with something to talk about.

We walked into town and stopped by a convenience store to buy some onigiri. As we were walking out we saw Team 7 sitting down a ways away at a Dango shop. We were staring to approach them as Naruto piped up "Hey guys! What are you all up to?" Hinata started blushing like a tomato and couldn't get a word out. "Hello Naruto, we are on our lunch break. Are you all as well at lunch?" Lee asked. They nodded and we sat with the group as they made room for us. Kakshi sensei seemed too deep into his book to bother with us. Hinata and I sat side by side with Sakura and Lee sat across from Sasuke and Naruto. We all put our food on the table and started eating. "Are you excited for the chunin exams?" I asked Sakura with a huge grin. I mean who wasn't excited for them! Everyone wanted to show the village what there own clan was made of, as well show off to your family your skills. "Yes! I can't wait to start!" Sakura said making a fist. "I hope they put me up against Ino. I just need an excuse to smash my fist into her face." Hinata and I sweat dropped at her sudden adrenaline. Her rivalry with Ino is just never ending as long as I can remember.

I'm proud to say I've always gotten along with everyone. Just as my sister, we have THAT similarity. We are both different in our own ways. Her having that charismatic persona that can make you think shes so innocent but as soon as you be friend her she has you tagging along in a new wild adventure. Me I'm a bit clumsy and can be hard headed but seem to look at things in a funny, humorous way or so I've been told.

"He he, yea I cant wait to show my mom and dad what I can do! I can already image it. In the chunin finals Kari Senju against some poor sucker. My mom switching from covering her mouth to her eyes from being scared. My dad with a beer in his hand already half drunk and saying something towards that's my girl!" We all laughed as I moved my hands and made facial expressions imitating my mom to my dad. "That's if you make it to the finals." Sasuke said with a smirk looking at me. "Maybe you girls should try out next year, it's going to be one of the most competitive ones this year." Sasuke added. "Trust me Sasuke, we'll be the competition." I say as I point to Sakura, Hinata and myself. Hinata blushed while Sakura and I had cocky smirks.

All of a sudden we see Saskue's head knock forward as someone knocked him in the back of the head. "Sauske you would be quite surprised to what a kunoichi can do."

***Flashback "I'll show my mom I can do this! I've gotten this far!" The hazel eyed 14 year old  thought as she was in line to sign up for the chunin exams. In her hand she had a document from her well known Aunt that will help as well as another one from another jonin. She got up to the desk and smiled at the jonin. She showed the jonin her documents. "Are you sure your up to this my Lady?" Asked the jonin, unsure of her. "I already do s ranked missions. I shouldn't even have to go through this." Thought the girl. "What team are you with?" asked the jonin. As far as he knew this girl has never been trained or assigned to a team. "Team Orrochimaru, now do I need to get him or my aunt here for you to just do your job?" The jonin was surprised both at the pretty girls bite and her power.***
