Chapter 20: Walk

I decided to get cleaned up and go home, it was 3:23 AM. I didn't want to hear Aunt Tsunade's bickering on me staying the night with Shisui. Especially after I had told her what had happened between us. Plus I didn't want to set a bad example for Kari. I was in the bathroom changing when I had a vision. It was Kari and Sasuke, they looked at me with fear. Completely freaked out! Then it was all gone too soon. Why would they look at me like that? What could I have done to them?

I stepped out and was ready to go. Shisui had said he would walk me home. "What if someone tries to steal you?" He had said with a wink. We went on our way out and decided to walk. The night was wonderful. The summer nights were cool at night, sometimes you even needed a sweater. The wind breeze was still going. I hooked an arm in his, feeling his warmth. This made me feel giddy, like if we were a couple of teenagers all over again. Going out to the movies, or just walking around town. We walked through the Uchiha compound. All the homes light were out. A couple houses had small light turned on, probably candles at their shines. No signs of life, just slumber.

"Shisui" I called to him. He turned his face a little to listen as we kept walking. "Do you think your parents would of approved of me and you?" I asked, we have talked about his parents before. It wasn't hard for him to speak about them. He actually enjoyed speaking about them, remembering them. "My mom would of been hesitant in the way we would of received backlash. But would of be fine with it in general. My dad . . .." He trailed off. I looked up at him, he was looking down at me with a smile. "He once told me at a gathering you were at that you were such a sweet and cute girl. That you would be a nice girlfriend for me." He laughed at the last part. I laughed with him, "He did not say that!" I said as I lightly tapped his arm. "I'm serious! Thats why I kind of kept an eye on you. I later on found out you weren't that sweet." He said smiling. "Whatever!" I said, "Your were cocky! You still kind of are." I said to him. I remember myself saying that when he would show off his skills so young, he would have the girls falling over for him. It was annoying! "Hey we're talking about you!" He said teasingly. I thought back to his parents, the only good memory I have of them is my dad introducing us to them. Seeing a boy a little older then me (Shisui) next to them. My mom had scolded me before the gathering I was to be on my best behavior. "Nice to meet you!" I said with a smile and bowed to them.

"How are you feeling now?" I knew what he meant. He was asking about my parents. I lowered my head, "I'm better then I was. I'm just talking it day by day. Ive told myself if others can can live through this so can I." My heart pained for my parents. I started to form tears but I didn't want to cry. I was done crying for the night. Shisui stopped to look at me, I looked up at him. Holding back the tears, "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. It's one of the hardest things to go through. My stupid pride held me back." He said as he looked at me in the eyes. I hugged him tight, silent tears came down. "You and Itachi took care of Danzō. That matters a lot to me. If not I don't think I would be here." I told him, I think my anger would of made me turn to the worse. Going into a darkness I knew better from to stay away. We stayed hugging for a couple minutes until I was good to walk again.

We were now in the main village almost home. "There's Anbu assigned now to oversee your home." He said this kind of nervously. "Yea I had a feeling they would do that sooner or later." Aunt Tsunade had agreed to become the next hokage but their was a process so things weren't official. Basically that meant no more 3 AM escapades. Not that they would necessarily tell my Aunt my outings but more than that was just embarrassing for the Anbu to witness. "I guess we'll have to find another way." I said to him inciting about sex. "Yea" he responded and slapped my butt. "Ayyyyy" I yelped.

We arrived in front of my house and my stomach started turning. I didn't want Shishi to leave or this night to end. I turned to him, placing my arms over his neck. He placed his arms around my waist. "Thanks for walking me home." I said to him smiling as I remembered our makeup session. I could tell he was thinking the same thing "Of course anytime." He responded with a wink. He leaned in to my ear to and whispered. "Leave that mark, I want to see how much it fades from the next time I make another." I blushed and giggled at him. He made me feel like a true teenager. We leaned in for a quick kiss. We both felt eyes on us and familiar chakra near by. We both looked that way, they knew we knew they were there. "Itachi?" Shisui asked, he appeared with Sauske and Naruto, they were all in Anbu gear. I blushed at our audience, "What are you two doing here?" I asked pointing and Sauske and Naruto. Naruto giggled with teasing eyes, Sauske looked down blushing. Itachi had the sweetest smile on his face, happy to see us back together most likely. "We're shadowing the Anbu's, sorry if we interpreted." Naruto said teasingly. I raised an eyes brow, "Great." I said not that convinced. "I'll see you later Shisui." I said, and left him out with them. I stepped inside all the light were off. It sensed everyone was still asleep. I headed down the outer hallway and made it to my room.

Laying in my bed, I felt apart of me was back. I truly did love him. And I felt he loved me. I thought of us and our beautiful memories and hopefully many more in the making. Before I falling asleep with a smile on my face.

The next morning I woke up my door sliding open with a loud bang, "Yumi?! Aunt Tsunade said you need to get up. It's already lunch time." It was Kari and she was fully dressed, she's probably been up for quite a while. Kari walked in taking a look around my room. She notices my clothes laying around from last night. "Ummmmm, okay." I answered back, trying to put her focus on me. "What's for lunch?" I asked, "Did you go somewhere last night?" She asked as she looked down at my clothes. "Get out!" I said sitting up to look at her. She laughed at my reaction, "Where did you go?" I pushed the covers off. I charged at her, she turned quick and ran out. I shut the door, holding my lower abdomen. Man I am sore.

I walked in to the kitchen and everyone was there. Aunt Tsunade, Shizune, Kari and Tonton. "Hey!" I greeted with a smile. They were eating Chicken Yakisoba, it smelled amazing. Just by the smell I hadn't realize how hungry I was. They only eyed me as I severed myself. I sat down not saying much. "So where were you last night?" Shizune asked, I sweat dropped. "Whhhaaattt?" I said nervously, "Don't act stupid! We know you went out later on. I went to check up on you and you were gone." Aunt Tsunade said giving me her death stare. "I went for a walk." I looked down playing it off and started eating. None of them believe me. Their glares unconvinced. I signed, "I went for a walk and Shisui showed up." I said rolling my eyes. "I knew it!" Kari said shaking her head. "What?! We said our sorry's! We're okay now!" I smiled at them. Aunt Tsunade signed, "Just remember, your a Senju and he's an Uchiha, your setting an example for the village. You have been for a while from what it seems. Plus both of you are adults, the phase of teenage love is over." I lowered my head down. I've heard this lecture before by my mother. A bad fall out from him and me can mean a divide within the village. In a way we carried power. Aunt Tsunade was right

"But Aunt Tsunade ever since Yumi came back she's came back changed. She's so much like daddy now." I felt a lump in my throat and looked at her. "You should see her. Always heading out to the hokage building as her responsibly, she would have these talks with dad about council meetings. The council pushed her to take care of the lords and ladies while they were in the village. She tended to them and they loved her. Things I can even understand." My sister, I love her. "Well we'll need all the help!" Shizune perked up trying to lighten the mood. "Aunt Tsunade I know what your feelings were to become hokage. And now you are. I promise I'll be by your side to aid you in whatever." I said to her. "We'll all me by your side!" Kari said as we all smiled at her. Aunt Tsunade signed but smiled back "Thank you, I'm glad I have all of you."

***Shisui walked into the Yamanaka flower store. Ino notice the dreamy Uchiha right away. But she knew better, this one was taken by the one and only Lady Yumi. "Hello Shisui Senpai! How can I help you?!" She said with a blush. "Hey Ino! Do you happen to have roses in stock?" Shisui asked, he had gone to other flowers shops with no luck. He didn't like to come to his one. He knew Ino would right away gossip he was in here buying flowers. "Of course! Red ones?!" She asked with a wink. He only nodded nervously. He ended up buying a dozen, "Tell Lady Yumi I said hi!" Ino said as he walked out with them.***
