"Arrogance may not be a uniquely American trait, but I must say, you do it better than anyone," Schmidt spoke.

Steve and Barbara were both held by Hydra soldiers as they had brought him to Schmidt.

"But there are limits to what even you can do, Captain. Or did Erskine tell you otherwise?" He said, standing in front of Steve. Schmidt then looked at Barbara. "And even, whatever you're name is. You don't even have the Serum, and you surprise me in many ways."

"He told me you were insane," Steve said.

"He didn't get to see how ugly you were," Barbara spoke, still a bit crept out that his face is a red skull.

Schmidt looked at Barbara, ignoring her comment, then looked back at Steve. "He resented my genius and tried to deny me what was rightfully mine. But he gave you everything. So, what made you so special?"

Steve chuckled for a moment. "Nothing," he said. "I'm just a kid from Brooklyn."

This angered Schmidt, and he leaps and punches Steve in the face. Barbara tried coming after Schmidt, only to be harshly yanked by the soldiers, holding her.

Schmidt threw backhand slaps at Steve, then punched him in the stomach, causing Steve to drop to his knees, letting out a cough.

A panting Steve slowly looked up at Schmidt. "I can do this all day."

"Of course, you can, of course," Schmidt said, looking down at him. "But, Unfortunately, I am on a tight schedule."

He pulled out his Luger and aimed toward Barbara. She looked at the weapon, then at Steve, as she could see the panic in his eyes for a split second before looking at Schmidt.

Suddenly there was a thunk outside the window, causing Schmidt to turn in that direction. Three specks in the distance, flying straight toward the Glass.

"So are we."

Steve swings a soldier around, causing Schmidt to move his aim from Barbara to Steve. He shoots at Steve, only for the soldier to receive the shot.

Barbara stepped on a soldier's foot, causing them to lose their grip on her. She grabbed a weapon that was attached and started shooting at the soldiers.

The windows broke through, and the invaders took their guns out and started shooting.

Barbara looked around and noticed Schmidt leaving the scene.

"He's leaving!" Barbara tells him.

Steve grabbed his shield, and he and Barbara started chasing after him.

Morita barks into his radio. "We're in. Assault team! Go!"

"Move out!" Phillips spoke as he, Peggy, and hundreds of Allied soldiers slipped out of hiding, shooting at the base.
