"I don't see what the problem is," Bucky spoke as he, Steve, and Barbara walked a few steps down a busy midway. "You're about to be the last eligible man in New York. You know there're three and a half million women here?"

Barbara rolled her eyes for the 100th time today at Bucky's comment. "You wish you were the last eligible man in New York." She said. "I bet you would love to be the only man in New York stuck here with three and a half million women,"

"Nope," Bucky said as he smirked at Barbara. "I wish I were the last eligible man in New York with you,"

Barbara's cheeks couldn't help but show bright red within them. Bucky loved when she blushed, primarily when he shot a small comment.

"Well, I'd settle for just one," Steve chimed in. Barbara smiled. "And I'm sure you'll find that special someone to settle with,"

"Good thing I took care of that," Bucky spoke as he waved his hand in the air, grabbing someone's attention. Two girls were standing by a statue when they noticed Bucky.

"Hey, Bucky!"  One of the girls called. Barbara sighed.

Of course, he will do this.

"I said no girls, James!" Barbara said, looking at him. Bucky looked back at her. "Doll, there're for Steve,"

Barbara sighed as Steve spoke. "What'd you tell them about me?" He asked.

"Only the good stuff," Bucky replied, looking at him with a smirk before looking back at the girls. This was going to be a long night for Barbara.

BARBARA POV.

"Welcome to the Modern Marvels Pavilion and the World of Tomorrow," The announcement spoke. "A greater world, a better world,"

The girls, supposed to be with Steve, looked off in a direction. I notice one of them, the burnet one, holding hands with Bucky. So much for them being Steve's date. Her friend wasn't even acknowledging him.

Steve nudged me in the arm, getting my attention as he gave me a look. He notices me staring at Bucky and that burnet's hands. I didn't even see that I was staring for quite that long.

I shouldn't even be upset about him being with another girl. No, I'm not bitter. Bucky can be with whoever he wants to be with. His holding hands with someone else doesn't affect me.

I shot Steve a small smile, indicating that I'm fine and that it doesn't bother me.

"Oh, my god!" The burnet spoke as she and her friend giggled. "It's starting!"  She and her friend run off; she pulls Bucky with him as the three are already making their way to the show.
