Chapter 19

Magnus's POV

This morning I was woken up to go to a meeting with the council around midday. Marley's mother got back form her mission with success. Well not exactly, she didn't find the few rogues she was looking for but found different ones. A witch, a vampire and a Lycra born female. Never her of that ever happening. So it was a choking news. Thought the witch and the vampire have been known to exist again like twenty years ago. My parents went into war with the vampires. The witches operantly stayed behind the entire time. The evil witch was definitely planning something.

Time flew by quickly and we were on our way to the council's building, where the meeting will be. All the royals were informed yesterday evening, I was informed today morning. But for me traveling to there is nothing far, so not a bad thing. Besides I might have found a way to a void this meeting. But now I cannot. Besides I think this one might become my favourite. In terms of of not boring it will be.

We sat down in our seats, waiting for the rest of the other royals to take theirs and arrive here. Not too long after the council got seated and began the meeting.

"Today we have very important things to discuss." Lucius, a council member started to speak.

"Yesterday we got some news. Firstly we have a young witch and a vampire with us now. They say they don't know anything about the evil witch. But they did tell us they are being trained for something. Perhaps a war is coming our way. However they are not the most important subject in today's meeting. It is a lycan born female. Or at least that's what she told us."

He went on how lycans are never born females, blah, blah, blah. Nothing new. But I was now curious if she didn't just lie. After his speech the room was filled with voices. Every single royal was discussing what was told. Especially about that lycan. My mother turned to me and asked me what I thought. I responded by saying that I think the girl was lying or I just couldn't believe it to be actually true, but I think they might bring her in and force her to shift for us all to see if it is true of her saying.

"Enough!" Council member Claudia roared and shut all talking down, a chill ran down my spine.

"Soon they all three will be brought here."

So they will show us them, especially her. A few minutes flew by and the courtroom's door got opened and my best friend's mother walked in. Just mere seconds later four guards came in and in the middle of them where three people. I supposed it was them.

"The vampire stands in the left corner followed by the witch and on the right will stand the lycan girl,"Merula directed all three of them where to stand.

All through this time I started to notice this scent lingering freshly in the air. I really liked it and had no idea where it came from, most of all it only came in contact with my nose once the three of them got in here. Wait. Does this mean what I think it means? No way. How? Who?

I looked at all three of them. But at some point the lycan girl turned around, she was told to shift. But before she started, she looked around. Her eyes met my own. My wolf screamed in my head.Mate!

What? How? I had questions lingering in my head now. This is impossible. I am not ungrateful to have found my second chance mate, but this is rare. It happens but it is very rare. Not always you can find your first one. Second ones are only given by the moon goddess if she thinks you are worthy of another chance. I felt like freaking out. The lycan had shifted, stood on two legs. In front of us all was in fact a lycan born female. How we knew she wasn't made, well the council would have known immediately. No lycans roam around the rogue land. I think she was very scared. Then they told her to go to a corner shift back. How did she know how to shift and back without anyone being nearby her? I mean it is sort of similar to shifting into a wolf but then she just had to observe very well or had actually witness a firs timer at shifting.

Everyone was shocked to say the least. She came back shortly after in the same spot. She had her hands in fists. She was slightly shaking. And all I wanted to do that moment was to run to her and hold her and tell her everything will be alright. But I couldn't, just yet. I don't know what to do.

"Now that we know the facts are true. What do we do?" Merula asked us.

No one spoke. Not until Romulus said:

"She is born that means she had to have both lycan parents or at least one for that to happen. I think we should first do is search for them."

Everyone agreed on this. They allowed her to be free on the streets. But had to hang out with Freya though, so she could keep an eye on her and my mate couldn't leave the Capital. This was great. Meant I could just tell Marley's mother the truth and I could see my own mate. Maybe tomorrow would be very good. I'll tell my family today at dinner. Her case was closed, for now and they moved on to the other two, who silently stood in their place the entire time.

For them it was that the witch will have to show the council what spells she was retaught. The vampire will be watched so he doesn't lash on anyone, because of blood thirst. They will have to live within the lycan territory. I don't know for my mate though. Well the meeting got to the end and all of us got out. But Freya, the council and the trio were left to stay there for a bit longer. Well I don't know what they talked about I just got home with my parents.

Dinner time came and all day I was thinking how to tell my family about me finding my mate today and her being the lycan girl. Interesting enough we don't even know the names of the three. We all got seated. My younger twin sisters started to ask us about the meeting. My parents told them, there wasn't much to hide since fairly soon the information will be revealed to the public. And I was asked about my opinion on them.

"Well I think as long as none of them are a threat to us I am fine with them... I want to tell you all about something."

"Come on tell us," my mother encouraged me to tell them. I sighed and said.

"The lycan born girl is my second chance mate."

Silence followed my words. All of them had shocked faces on their faces. Please don't hate me.

"Didn't you have a mate before? Is this possible?"Dawn, the older twin spoke first.

"True. But sometimes the moon goddess gives some werwolves another chance at having a mate. Rare. But happens. Well it is definitely different, but we will accept her into our family." My mother answered with an encouraging smile on her face. Good to know she isn't mad or anything. Dad agreed with his mate.

"You should call Freya though. She might know where your mate is," again mother spoke. So I quickly finished dinner and ran to my room to call Marley's mother. I was slightly nervous.

I called her and told her everything. From my mate to the plans for tomorrow. She congratulated me and told me that my mate is staying at their house. I was happy with that information, it makes it even easier for me to meet up with her, just go along the rules without the council knowing for now. I liked how my mate is in a comfy place and not in a prison cell or something, they at least are treating her fairly well. So tomorrow's plans are in the morning to go to my best friend's house. I cannot wait for the tomorrow.
