No one's POV
The young witch, Sarabeth, has been training for a couple of days now. She got a handful of spell books that the council still had and she began her studies on learning new spells. She of course started on the simpler ones but now started to go to the medium ones. No one was there to help her. Though a few werewolves who had to keep an eye on her have been nice to her at last. Luckily for her she was also able to meet Tristan. He has been training hard. The council wanted them both to be prepared as well. They got news of the evil witch's shenanigans.
All kingdoms made sure their people, especially their warriors would train. The witch and the vampire would give them an advantage. Sarabeth and Tristan had to tell the council about their kinds weaknesses and what strengths they possessed. They even learned about their friend's, Serafina's parents. It was shocking to them but said nothing. They didn't want to get in trouble. Their days weren't just filled with training. They had times to themselves in the rooms the council provided. But they always had at least one guard following them.
It was a measure of protection and they both understood it. They would never betray the lycans and the werewolves. They both hate the evil witch. But who wouldn't? So Tristan and Sarabeth tries to rain to gain some sort of trust over the council at first. So far they been doing good themselves. They dont feel like prisoners, they are free almost like Serafina was for a few days as well. Soon they might be free for real. But they would still have to be careful of werewolves. Both of theirs presences were still not announced, besides they would think of them as enemies, because only the evil witch has vampires and witches. Understandable. Serafina was announced within her arrival and her proving her birth with her shift on that day's meeting. And now everyone knows about the two council members being her true parents. The news took a big shock to the public. But within just mere days the shock has died out.
For the vampire, Tristan the training has been physical mostly. It was to train his hunter abilities, his senses in a way. To train his fast movement better. His control with blood. If he is fed with enough blood nothing should happen to agile him to become a monster. That is what the council makes sure of. They use rabbit blood the most for his blood food. But there's been a question on both of their minds. What happens to their species if the lycans and werwolves win and the evil witch is defeated.
Of course they won't get killed. But they probably won't live with the lycans, werewolves, not even with rogues. They might train them in facilities, they might build special buildings for them to live in for some time. And maybe after some time release the to live on their own and have privileges just like werewolves or at least like rogues at last. This sounds the best that could happen. But how many will survive after the war, no one knows. It is the scary part. Who knows if their loved ones will die.
As the time passed, their trainings came to and end for the day and as a think they started to do, after training they would meet up at a food place. They would get their stomachs filled, really jus the witch mainly but the vampire would get his another doze of rabbit blood. Today it seemed that Sarabeth was way more exhausted than usual. While Tristan seemed to be just fine. They sat down and in two corners, one nearby the door and one in the opposite side stood the two guards.
"You seem very exhausted, I think after eating you really should hit the bed."
"I will. Well I have gotten myself not a lot of sleep last nigh because I really got into the one spell book I was given,"the witch spoke.
"What have you found so interesting to keep you up at night?"
"It... it was the spell the evil witch used on us to freeze us in time and also make the spells run off in some thousands of years later."
The vampire was in shock. How did she find such spell in an ordinary spell book. Sarabeth caught on what Tristan was thinking and answered his question.
"The spell book has forbidden, rarely used spells. Evil, dark spells. The council gave it to in caughtion, I wouldn't be using it for evil purposes. I am not even strong enough to use the most simple one in that book. So they should clam down about that."
Then proceed to eat their foods. Mid eating, Tristan said.
" We should meet up with Serafina soon." The girl nodded.
After eating they went to their rooms. Tristan got to the shower and the witch cleaned her space. Organised the spell books and got to sleep.
Sarabeth was outside the ravine cave's entrance. She knew it seemed familiar but couldn't put a finger on it. So she walked further into the cave. The more she went it more seemed to be a less of a cave but rather a place of some living being were there once. Once she reached the end of it, there was a door presented in her way. Hesitantly pulled the door open. Inside she was shocked. She was back at the evil witches place. Panic rose in her. She wanted to run away. But as Sarabeth turned around the door was gone.
The witch walked around and there was no sign of anyone being at the place. Thought o her horror. Footsteps were heard. She tripped on nothing ro so she thought and was immediately faced with the evil witch herself. The witch had an evil grin on her face.
"You two are traitors. The end will come for the moon children. They will all die and die the deaths they deserve!"
Sarabeth tried to speak but nothing came out, she was very scared. The evil witch started to say some sort of spells and before Sarabeth could comprehend what was happening. The evil witches blow was shot towards Sarabeth and everything went dark.
She shot up to awakening of her nightmare. She was sweating and shaking. She didn't know if it was just a normal nightmare or the evil witch sent her such vision. She knew she had to talk to Tristan as it was not too late and burbly he was still awake and tomorrow to speak to the council about it as well.
The witch washed her face and hurried to the vampire's room. Once she was in his room, the vampire was confused but saw the witches face and concern got in him.
"I had a nightmare, I think or a vision I dont know."
After tell him everything they both sat in silence. He hugged to calm her down. After some time Tristan got outside his door to tell one of the guards that Sarabeth will be sleeping in his room. They agreed and he went back in. The witch was asleep. He didn't want to disturb her so he got to the little couch his room has. Fell asleep after a bit. Even if the couch wasn't so comfortable but got used to it due to the time at the evil witches place. Their beds were good either in there.
