Chapter 12

I was walking down the isles trying to find what I needed.

When I turned around my back was burnt and the skin was peeling, but it couldn't get something out my mind, how didn't I feel it.

I had quickly changed into a silk vest, so it didn't irritate the skin, along with a hoodie and some leggings then set my trek to the pharmacy.

That leads up to now, I was looking for all the equipment to help with burns.

I picked up four large wraps, Alvera ointment, Germolene, tylenol and a med kit that contains rubbing alcohol, bandaids, more wrap and a sewing kit.

I placed the things on the counter and let her scan my items.

"That will be $47.79 darling" the lady said chewing her gum very very loud.

I pulled out the 50 and gave it to her.

She put all my things into a bag and I quickly picked it up and started walking out.

"Your change" she shouted across the store but I ignored her and rushed out the shop.

I was walking down the street when there was a honk next to me.

I looked to the side to see Derek staring at me with a raised brow.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm walking home what else would I be doing." I shook my head.

"Well I thought you would be doing something not walking home with a pharmacy bag" he carried on driving behind me.

"Well I don't have wo- oh shit" I stopped in my tracks.

First mistake

I dropped the plastic bag which led it to break and everything to roll out.

Second mistake

I tried to pull my phone out my pocket with my bad hand so I also ended up dropping my phone.

Third mistake

Derek saw everything.

He quickly pulled up to the curb not caring if he couldn't park there and got out to help me

I started picking everything up with my right hand since my left isn't very stable.

He picked up literally most of the things including my phone and started walking to the car.

"What? Where are you going I paid for that!" I followed him.

He put everything in the back and started talking.
"Get in the car"

When I didn't respond or move he walked around to my side then grabbed my arm and literally threw me into the passenger seat.

I sat there waiting for him to get in and drive off.

I thought he was gonna drive me home but he went the opposite way but who was I to complain.

The car ride was silent until we stopped outside the preserve.

He passed me my phone from the back and I raised a brow at him.

"You not gonna call work?" He questioned.

My eyes widened and tried my best to call the work number.

I placed my phone in my lap and used my good hand to type the number up.

I pressed the call button and waited for someone to pick up.

"Hi Isabella you okay?" A chirpy voice said.

"Ho-how did you know it was me?" I asked very confused.

"You know what? That doesn't matter. I can't come in today I had an accident so I won't be able to make it" I scratched my chin waiting for her to respond.

"Oh well I hope you feel better soon" Lily's chirpy voice boomed down the phone like she had her mouth on the speaker.

"Yeah thank you I'll see you next week" I ended the call before anyone could say anything.

I leaned back slowly to rest my back on the seat and closed my eyes.

I could hear and feel Derek moving but I didn't care I was too tired.

"Give me your hand" he grumbled I opened my eyes and turned my head to see him staring at me.

The things I bought were sat in his lap. I gave him my hand and let him unwrap the cloth.

"Jesus Christ" he muttered under his breath.

Derek didn't question it though and started his job. He softly applied the Germolene to the burns then wrapped it with a wrap.

I let out a hiss and tried to pull my hand back when he tightened the bandage but he had a firm grip on my hand.

When he was done he let me go.
"Is there any where else?" He was staring at me.

"No" I muttered not meeting his gaze.

"Liar" he tilted his head and stared.

"My back" i whispered so quiet I'm 100% sure he didn't hear.

"Want me to wrap it?" Such a gentleman.

I shook my head no and he nodded. We stayed quiet for a minute and I liked the silence until he spoke up.

"How did you burn all your back?" He was looking forward in thought.

"I locked myself in a boiler room"
I shrugged like it was nothing.

"But there was a car in the drive weren't your parents home?" He questioned.

I shook my head and asked to go home.

He let out a sigh but complied and pulled out the spot.

On the way home he was asking lots of questions but I ignored him.

When we arrived I quickly thanked Derek,picked all my things up and quickly walked up to my house.

My brothers car wasn't in the drive so it was just me

I heard a car door shut and Derek called my name. I stopped in my tracks and slowly turned around.

"You sure you don't want any help?" He lowered his head like he knew something. I shook my head quickly and started walking towards the house but stopped.

I put my things on the floor then ran over to Derek and gave him a hug. He tensed but slowly eased into it.

I pulled back and quickly ran back to the house. I unlocked my door picked my things up and rushed inside.
I slammed the door shut and just stood there.

Stiles' POV
Last night was very long.
I. Need. Sleep.

I had to stop at Allison's house because we found out Derek was the one who bit Scott and then I went to Isabella's house and her brother said she was fast asleep upstairs.
I didn't like him at all he gave this gloomy aura.

Anyways, I was up all night driving around trying to find Scott.

I dropped Scott at his house and now I'm on my way to mine.

I drove past Isabella's house to see a very familiar car in her drive.

Derek.

I parked in my drive and looked across the road to see Derek stood next to his car and Isabella looking at him from her door.

She turned around and was about to start walking but stopped.

She placed a bunch of things on the floor and quickly ran to him and gave him a hug.

How do they know each other?
Maybe their family's were friends that's how they know each other and that's why she has this weird scent.

She was back in her house and Derek was about to get back into his car when his eyes connected to mine.

I ran into the house and locked it.
