Chapter 6

It was the next morning and I was late to school. Last night when I got home I did all my homework and checked on my leg. This time I had big long cuts just like yesterday, I am so confused.

I rushed getting ready and my brother had already left so I was gonna have to walk.

But my plans completely changed when the Derek Hale was sat outside my house, in his car.

I had rushed getting ready so I threw on the first thing in sight that consisted of some fishnet tights, a very Poofy black skirt, along with
a nirvana t-shirt, I also picked up a black plain hoodie.

I had managed to cover the little bruise that coated my cheek from yesterday and put some eyeliner with mascara on.

I was shocked none the less when I saw Derek waiting for me but also very confused how he knew I was still here.

"Derek? What an earth are you doing here?" I questioned.

His head shot up and without any words he nodded his head to the car basically telling me to get in.

I rolled my eyes but gladly complied.

At least I didn't have to walk.

The car ride was silent at the start but when we arrived at my school I was singing my heart out to 'somebody to love' by queen.

He parked outside the front and lots of people started staring probably because they could hear the music.

He slammed his hand down on the button to turn the music off.

I turned to him in offence and went to press the button again but he slapped my hand away.

"No" he points at me.

I raised my brows challenging him.

I went to press the button again and he kept stopping me until i hit the button.

He let out a groan of annoyance and I started dancing in my seat in victory.

Eventually I let him turn my music off but not until the song had finished.

We sat in silence for a few more seconds.
"How did you know I was home?" I asked confused.

He looked at me in the corner of his eye and totally ignored me.

I let out a sigh and got out the car with my bag. Didn't forget to say a thank you though.

I started walking up the steps of school and I could feel eyes on me.

When I looked to my side I saw the boys from the woods staring at me.

I gave them both a glare and they quickly turned around.

I walked into school at least 30 minutes late but oh well. Just need to get a late slip.

Why aren't the boys in lesson?

I decided to skip the rest of the day. School was too boring.

I decided to stop at a little diner called Kelly Clark's, it was one of them old fashioned places with the poofy dresses and them music boxes you choose songs on.

I walked to a booth that was in the corner of the little cafe and pulled my iPod along with my headphones out.

I pulled one earbud out so I could hear things and picked my book out my bag to read for a tiny bit.

After 10 minutes someone was stood next to me and when I looked up it was a female, she looked to be in her early 20's and she had the biggest smile on her face.

"What can I get you?" She asked politely with a grin.

"Oh uh, please can I just have a water?" I replied.

"Coming right up hun" she smiled then turned to the kitchen.

I decided to get a good look of the place and it was clearly an old building yet so cute and detailed.

Then my eyes caught up on a little poster that read "HELP WANTED".

I could do with a job if I'm honest earn some cash to get myself some new stuff, maybe save up to buy an apartment.

The lady walked back with my water and asked if I wanted something else.

"Are you hiring?" I questioned looking into her eyes.

If possible her smile got even wider and she started nodding her head like a mad man.

"Yes actually we have been so short on staff there are like three workers here today" the waiter was basically jumping up and down.

"So how do I apply for a job? Is there a form to fill out?"

She stuck up a finger to say one second and rushed into a room that read staff only.

The waitress quickly rushed out with paper and a pen in her hands then put it on the table in front of me.

"You just need to fill that form out to prove your legally of age and we'd need to see ID to prove you are older than 14, after that you shall be ready and we have aprons in the back" she rushed out in one breath with a grin. I gave her a polite smile then said a quick thank you before I started signing the forms.
