Class just ended early and I planned to just walk home. I left the car at home because I was lazy to drive. It's just a 30-minute walk anyway and besides, tomorrow is Friday.Just as I was about to get out of the music room, thunder echoed throughout the whole corridor. Uh-oh.
I hurried outside but it was a bit late. It was already raining heavily. I stomped a bit since I didn't bring my umbrella too. The weather forecaster didn't inform us about raining today though. Tss.
Fine. I'll just run towards the bus stop and wait for the bus to arrive. Before rushing out, I held out my hand to feel the rain on my palm. Raindrops were kinda heavy and cold but it's alright.
"I believe you don't have an umbrella?"
I was startled when someone spoke on my side and was even more startled knowing that it was Jisun. Good for her that she brought her umbrella.
"Oh, hey Jisun-ah," I said casually, although I just wanted to evaporate. She was extra pretty today with that cute vest she was wearing that it just makes me flutter.
She smiled at me and looked up to see the rain pouring from the sky. "You're riding the bus for today, aren't you? Lucky you, I'm headed to the bus stop too. Would you like to share my umbrella?"
"Uh.... but you'll be soaked in the rain if you share it with me. I think it would be too small for us both," I tried to decline.
"Unnie, this umbrella can take even three people. It will be enough for both of us," she says and stepped closer to me.
Then I was surprised when she took my hand to hold it onto the umbrella as well.
I looked at her as she took that time to adjust her bag in front of her so that it won't get wet, then she looked at me.
If my heart was a drum, it probably sounded like that in a band, loud and echoes throughout the place.
"Let's go?" she asked and held on to the umbrella while the other one on her bag. I blinked and felt my face heat up. I also put my bag in front of me before nodding at her.
The rain was pouring heavily and it was really cold. But with Jisun's body next to mine, it didn't matter. She scooted closer to me and unconsciously held my hand that was holding the umbrella's handle. I almost stopped walking because of that! I can even smell her perfume already because of the close proximity.
Finally after a few minutes, we reached the bus stop...
"That was like an adventure, don't you think?" she asked and finally let go of my hand. I also get to release the breath I was holding and chuckled.
"Indeed," I replied and dusted my sweater because of some raindrops. The right portion was even soaked already, but it's fine.
I checked my backpack for some towel but I forgot to bring one.
"I think you might need this, unnie," she spoke so I looked at her. She was holding up tissues for me.
Yah!!! Is she really this caring? How come she already has everything I need??
I hesitated but took it and gave her a thankful smile. "Seems like you already have everything in that bag. Thank you for this, by the way." I started to wipe my face.
"Nah, I just bring those that can be used in case of emergency. See? Good thing I saw you earlier or else you'll be like a soaked puppy by now," she stated and laughed.
