But there just someone about her that seems like she's just putting up an act

I need to keep my guard up

We arrived to Fiona's apartment

It's was decorated in a modern way
Lots of white and gray around the house

It felt cold and lonely in the apartment

"Follow me to your bedroom"
Fiona breaks the silence

The apartment had a nice and big living room with a kitchen when you enter

It also had one bathroom and two bedrooms
(It's the same layout as the Forgers apartment just in more of a modern style)

We were lead into a hall by Fiona and we walked to the end of the hall way

She opens the door to what will be mine and Adeline's new room

The room was empty and the walls had a nice off white color to it

"I need to buy some furniture for your room, how about we go tomorrow shopping for furniture?"

Fiona asks me

"Yeah sounds good... where do we stay in the mean time"

"You can sleep on the couch"

The rest of the evening Adeline and I just kinda stayed in the living room watching TV

Mean while Fiona signed us up for school

*i wonder why she adopted us, She doesn't seem prepared to have any children and when we saw each other she didn't seem like she had planned for this, I wonder what her real intentions are, I hope there good intentions*

I hadn't realized that I was starting at Fiona

And she was staring back with a killer gaze

I think she sensed that I'm suspicious so I quickly turn back to the tv and try to act normal

Dinner time rolled around and Adeline and I were getting hungry

"Um excuse me Fiona but by any chance do you have dinner ready?"
I ask in a timid voice not to disturb her

Fiona was sitting at the kitchen dining table looking over some papers

She seems to be very concentrated in what she was doing

"The kitchen is right there"

I look at her in shock

Then I look over at Adeline and her stomach grumbles

I look over to the kitchen and spot some cereal at the top of the fridge

"Adeline go sit down I'll get you something to eat in a sec okay?"

She nods and takes a seat in the couch and continues to watch tv

I walk over to the kitchen and I finally see how tall the fridge is compared to me

*i have no choice I have to use my ability *

Looking around, I see Fiona concentrating really hard on some papers and Adeline occupied watching tv

It's now or never

I put my hands up and using my telekinesis I gently pick up the cereal and place it in the counter

I look around to try and find any bowls I spot two on the sink rack

I grab the bowls and spoons

thankfully I was able to reach the sink

It was time to get the milk
I open up the fridge and see the milk is on a high shelf

Putting my hands up once again I attempted to pick up the milk

Not using my ability caused it to get weak so getting the milk was a challenge

Slowly but surely I was able to get the milk down it wobbled around many times hitting other objects in the fridge but not to much to catch anyone's attention

I prepared the cereal and haded it to Adeline

Looking over at Fiona she seemed kinda stressed I felt bad

"Here you go, you shouldn't miss dinner"
I say hading her a bowl of cereal

She looks a me stunned

*uh oh did I do something wrong*

"T-thank you"

I smile and return to the couch
