SUMMER
Classes have been done for over a month and yet I think I'm busier then I was when I had class every other day.
I'm working at the coffee shop every morning, then I've been shadowing Ash at the studio before she leaves for tour. The girls on the junior team are hilarious, and they're all such amazing dancers! I'm kind of jealous because I was not as good as them when I was twelve.
Trevor's still in town because he got an internship at a physical therapists office for summer, so every day while I'm at work that's where he is.
And now that Trevor and I are both on our own off seasons we've been keeping each other accountable for working out, even on Friday's at ten o'clock at night like we are right now.
"I don't wanna do this anymore," I groan but my feet keep moving on the stair stepper.
"Five more minutes," Trevor's running on the treadmill in front of me.
I just groan in response. This is just our warmup before we do weights. I don't normally do weights, normally I just do a ton of cardio but I've started lifting with Trevor and it's kind of fun. Well it's fun when I haven't spent the last four hours with fifteen twelve year old girls. The team has a competition this weekend so it was a very long practice night.
We step off the machines a few minutes later. I'm stretching my arms and shoulders as I walk around to meet Trevor.
"How about we just leave? Skip a day," I suggest once I'm standing in front of him. I smirk up at him, "What if we just worked out at home?"
He puts one of his hands on my neck, thumb on my cheek, "As fun as that would be," he gives me a quick kiss, "We've got weights to lift," he takes his hand from my neck and takes my hand in his pulling me towards the weights as I drop my head back groaning.
After a lot of complaining, all from me, which is met with sweet, encouraging words from Trevor every time. We're finally back at my apartment and Trevor's in the kitchen cooking.
Now this has been best part of summer break, going home everyday with Trevor. Sleeping in the same bed and waking up next to him. Its comforting knowing when I come home from work he's there. Especially since all of my roommates are gone. Well Ellie pops by every once in awhile but her, Alex and her parents are at their house in Cabo for a couple weeks.
I've offered that we stay at his place every once in a while but he keeps saying no because his other roommates are all still there.
"Babe?" I'm walking into the kitchen, hopping up on the counter top behind Trevor.
"Hm?" he hums more focused on the food on the stove.
"Can we do something fun tomorrow? I don't have to work or be at the studio."
I watch him start to plate the food. I could watch him cook all day, there's something so attractive about it. But that could also be the fact that his bare back is facing me right now and I just wanna reach out and trace every muscle.
"What if I already had something planned?" He turns around holding two plates of food.
"Of course you do," I smile, taking one of the plates from him. It's got grilled chicken, asparagus and rice on it. It looks very simple but I know how he cooks, every bite is going to be flavorful and amazing because his mother is a Southerner who loves to cook despite them having enough money for three chefs.
"What is the plan?" I ask taking a bite of the asparagus.
"You'll have to find out in the morning," he smirks.
