Risky Resupply

It had been 3 days since I had carried 54R4H and Ron to safety, but they had only just woken up. We were all starving, and broken (both physically AND mentally). But I knew that if one of us didn't do something about it soon, we would perish very soon. I had been surviving off of bugs and river water while 54R4H and Ron were unconscious. I stood up to go and get supplies, but Ron stopped me. "I'll go, you're still barely able to walk." he stated, trying to put himself first. However, I had already lost 1 friend, I wasn't going to risk losing another. "No, I'm going alone. If I'm not back with food, drink, and clothing within 5 hours, then go on without me." I exclaimed, donning my ripped t-shirt and my boots, which were torn nearly to shreds.

Unfortunately, as I reached a main road, I spotted a small trio of enemy troops searching for us. They questioned a teenage boy, but when the boy said to leave him alone, they pulled out their batons and started to hit him until his face looked like the side of a car after a crash. I couldn't let this happen, so I walked over and knocked one out in a single punch. One tried to tase me, but I grabbed the taser and electrocuted the other soldier. As he fell, I reached for his baton, but the final enemy struck me in the back of the head and begun to wail on me, with no signs of mercy.

Luckily, the young teenager temporarily (only for 1 or 2 seconds) used a taser on the enemy, allowing me to steal his weapon and defeat him with a single bash to his skull. "Thanks, kid." I said, panting. "You're welcome, but why did you save me? All I did was help a random group of people escape custody?" he responded. After a short silence, he finally clocked onto who I am. "What's your name, lad?" I enquired. "My name is Dentry Shuldrin" was the reply I got. "You know, you look very familiar Dentry." I pointed out, "who are your parents?". His reply was rather unexpected. "My dad is Karim Macall, and my mum is Sarah Shuldrin." I was taken aback by this. I was aghast. 54R4H and Karim were together at one point? Well that changes things. But only 1 thing was on my mind at that moment.

I grabbed the boy's collar and held him up against a wall. "Tell me why I shouldn't just gut you right now! Your father killed my friend, and is the reason I'm an orphan, so you better have a good reason to live!" I yelled at his face. "Listen, listen! I'm on your side, ok? My father abandoned me when I was 3, and I want to make him pay." he panicked as he said this. I moved my body closer to him as a threat. This worked on him. "OK OK WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT! There are some supplies down that street, i-if you're looking for some." He stuttered. I released him, and he offered his assistance in getting the supplies.

As we arrived at the checkpoint, I saw a Superior Guard blocking the entrance, so I sent in Destry to distract them. As soon as their back was turned I pocketed their knife and stabbed their neck, gently hiding their corpse behind a wall. Using Destry's phone to hack into them, I disabled the cameras and shut off the lights. "Wait here, Dentry" I instructed. Due to the fact that I still couldn't move too fast, I decided to tactical roll my way to the supply crates. Medicine? Check. Food? Check. Drink? Check. I had everything I needed, but disaster struck, because I hadn't noticed a Superior Guard and 2 soldier advancing on my location. As they got to the corner that I was on the other side of, however, a wall bebind them blew up, causing them to investigate. Using the time I had, I crawled back to Dentry who, as it turned out, had thrown a grenade at the wall, which is what caused the explosion. "Well Dentry, I can't thank you enough, but I'll try to find you after I reclaim this city" I promised him.

After that, I left the area and returned to Ron and 54R4H. I gave 54R4H a drink, and I tended to Ron's wound. We knew that we would have to move soon, but we didn't expect it to be THIS soon.
