It had been 2 days since I got those supplies with Dentry for the 3 of us, and we had collectively decided to get some new clothes and to patch ourselves up with new haircuts and upgrades for our technology (our phones & my prosthetics). We woke up early, at 7am, and began the mile long walk to the hairdresser's. However it didn't take long for us to run into a but of trouble. An armoured soldier with a Recon & Defence Drone. Ron pulled me and 54R4H behind a wall, and handed me my slightly damaged phone. Using this, I turned the drone on the soldier, giving me time to snatch their controls, make the drone shoot them, and then disable the drone.
After that small mishap, we arrived at Henry's Hairdresser's. We each got a completely different hairstyle to our previous ones, and we paid Henry by hacking an ATM that was outside the building and giving him the money. This was risky, however, because doing this sets off a silent alarm. Luckily, all 3 of us got away in time, and headed a few doors down towards the phone repair store. 54R4H's phone was fine, but Ron needed a brand new one, and mine needed a screen repair. There were no problems in this shop, as we still had money from the aforementioned ATM. Our final stop was the Prosthetics Parlour, as it was known. But on our way there, we saw someone in a black and grey hoodie spray painting a wall, and Ron yelled at them to get out of there and go home. I instead decided to read what they had written.
"6R1FF1N? What's 6R1FF1N?" I asked no one in particular. I didn't realise that the person who had written this hadn't left. "6R1FF1N, or 'Griffin', is what the citizens of Londinium believe will put an end to CyberCorps." she said. Before I could question her any further, she ran off without a word. "Well, that was...interesting" said Ron. We continued towards the Parlour, discussing what, or who, we thought 6R1FF1N was.
I personally thought that it was a name for a new military somewhere out there, who would try and overthrow CyberCorps. Ron thought it was all a massive joke and didn't matter. But strangely, 54R4H strongly believed it to be me. She claimed that it would make perfect sense for it to be 'Someone who has lost so much, yet rises up against CyberCorps anyway, because they know deep down that they can do it'. But before we could continue the conversation, we had entered the shop, and I had went over to the counter and asked for some basic movement speed and control upgrades. Unfortunately, Karim must've planned for this in case his plan failed, as the woman behind the desk exclaimed to me "Uh, sir, this model of prosthetic arm doesn't seem to match any of our databases, is there anything else you would like?". I was quite frustrated at this. Leave it to Karim to make an entirely new prototype for a prosthetic arm just to make sure that I can't upgrade it. So, I devised a new strategy. Instead of getting upgrades for my arm, I purchased some tools to do it myself, and got my fake eye upgraded so that it was now able to scan things that are further away and to see more clearly.
As we all exited the store, all of a sudden an enormous oil tanker exploded in front of us, sending us flying back inside. I got up ASAP and helped Ron and 54R4H onto their feet. We saw 2 strangers climb on top of the burning tanker, and yell to everyone "We are here today to warn CyberCorps of one thing and one thing only: 6R1FF1N is coming, and when they arrive, they will not hesitate to take you down and to free us!". But, out of nowhere, they were suddenly shot down by a Superior Guard who was on their way to investigate the ATM from earlier, and we were left their, puzzled.
After seeing how ruthless CyberCorps were in that moment where they could've just arrested the 2 people (who only looked between 15-19 years old) I decided that, after all of the torment we have all gone through, enough was enough, and that my plan was to get rid of them, permanently. At first, Ron and 54R4H weren't too enthusiastic to perform such a dangerous task, but ultimately joined me as they wanted this just as much as me.
So, all that was left now was to devise a plan. A plan that the people of Londinium will remember forever. A plan to take down CyberCorps once and for all.
