8. Darkness and larger wounds

"That was gross!" squeals Mirabel standing cross-footed and hunched over with some drool on her.

"It wasn't that bad." says Camilo behind her. Mirabel spins toward him.

The vibe he gives off is so cold she finds it unpleasant. She purses her lips and before she claims, Camilo laughs softly, like a strange hiss. A few curly locks come to his face.

"You're so weird," he babbles for no reason. "There is something very strange about you' that just makes me like you more prima" Mirabel pulls away from Camilo who tries to touch her. "Why are you pulling away prima?" he asks dropping the head. "Now that Sora is here, he's not so much with me is that what's wrong, does he prefer him?"

"No Of course not! You're my cousin and he's my friend! It's-"

"What does you need friends for if you have me?"

Mirabel lets out air, frightened to have him so close. Camilo grabs her wrists and squeezes them, hurts almost instantly and without even meaning to. He brings his face close to her and blames a flare that passes over them, he fails to bring his lips together with Mirabel.

"Camilo let her go!" orders Sora getting instantly defensive. Luisa picks up a nearby boulder and prepares to throw it.

"Camilo honey please go back to normal" Pepa asks as soon as she gets there. "I-I don't know what happened, but for-"

Sora makes a barrier that prevents the huge lightning bolt that was about to hit them all. Pepa included. She falls to the ground in shock. Camilo looks at her coldly.

"What do you care? You've never really cared" Camilo says in a low, slurred voice. Cruel and oblivious to himself. "You only care about us being what Abuela wants. You don't care about anything else."

"You know that's not true!" argues Sora instantly. "You know your mom adores you and does everything for-"

"FOR KEEPING ME BEING THE LEAST IMPORTANT AMONG THE GIFTS!"

The chameleon disappears and Sora is thrown away from a hard, aggressive blow from it. Luisa throws the rock towards the chameleon which was visible for a brief moment. Pepa forces her gift to work the way she wants it to, making rain splatter on the Heartless and thus making it obvious. Mirabel takes advantage of the distraction to slip away and not be an obstruction. Unsuccessfully as Camilo is in front of her holding her hand.

Changing his appearance to be Sora. A strange mix between normal and that very aggressive and destructive version from a while ago.

"If I look like this would you accept me?"

Camilo feels the anomalous need to touch her chest. He doesn't know why. It's as if something in him tells him he must do it to find something wonderful. Reaches out and finally when he puts his hand on it, Mirabel begins to cry out in pain, her heart aching and agonizing with the cold hand trying to pull it out.

Sora rejoins and returns, attacking the chameleon directly to knock it out and thus help Luisa who protects Pepa. He freezes it with a spell and goes to Mirabel because he heard her scream. Sora finds her pale and Camilo extracting something from her. He hurries to fire a shot from his place and with it, prevent Camilo from taking Mirabel's curiously bright heart.

The girl ends up falling fainting to the floor, Camilo looks at Sora with irritation, changes form to Riku and in his hand appears the Keyblade. To Sora's surprise, Camilo attacks him with the skills Riku has learned. As if he is now able to mimic even his power.

He blocks and leans back, with Camilo entrenched in him. His yellow eyes reminding him too much of the many times he's had nightmares about Riku. He takes a shaky breath, his chest aching.
