I continued to wait patiently.

The sun had already been out, and I knew it was around fifteen hundred already. "I knew I would find you here..." A voice spoke. My eyes widened, and I quickly turned.

"Don't look at me like that...you did this to yourself..." He spoke. I looked at the boy, horrified, and he suddenly smiled at me. "Where is Francis?" I asked. He breathed out, annoyed, and took a seat beside me. "Of course, that is your first thought after seeing me," he spoke. It was that boy...from the other day.

Well, from the past...he was the one we ran into...then those men came after us...

"Wait a minute...You were the one who sent those men, weren't you? Why are you trying to take my invention?" The boy smiled and sat back against the bench. "Wow, you were always so smart; I guess it doesn't shock me..." He laughed. He continued to smile and looked up to the sky. "You must be so confused right now...I will explain a little bit. My name is Matthew! You don't know me yet, but strangely, you could say I am trying to help you..."

"Strange way of putting it..."

"Yes! I know future you...much older version of you..." he spoke, looking me up and down. Really? he reminds me of Francis.

"Okay? that does not explain much about how you know me and why you sent those men..."

"I can't tell you much because it will spoil the surprise..." he winked.

"What?"

"Anyway...I know Francis too...an older version of him too...it shocked me a little to see the two of you so young at first that I needed to leave. Once I verified your location, I sent my two very good friends to go after the two of you because I could not do it myself. However, Gilbert and Antonio are idiots and cannot succeed. I tried to avoid all this by trying to get to you when you first figured out the invention, but not much to my surprise...history took its course, and things happened the way they should have...meaning you traveled back in time."

"I am sorry, but I am still confused..."

"Figured...I am dumping all of this on you as a last-minute resort for my situation..."

"....What does that have to do with me?"

"Well...Arthur...Your choices will very much affect you long in the future...about twenty-plus years in the future or so..."

"Look, if it is something I do in the future, I am sorry, but I have not done it yet, and I promise I will never do anything bad..."

I finally stood up, and he rolled his eyes at me. He looked very stressed out and tired. "As I mentioned, it has already started, but I am desperate, so I will aid you a little bit."

"Aid me?"

"Yes...My brother wants your watch...you may know him...Alfred..." He spoke. My eyes widened, and I felt frozen hearing that name. That kid really was after me.

"But why?"

"As I said before, I would hate to spoil your future, but I know you need an answer, so... I will put it simply. He will steal your watch in the future for a few reasons...you told him not to touch it, but he did anyway, like an idiot. The watch was old, so as you can imagine...it malfunctioned, and he got stuck...Luckily, he could contact me now, from a young age at the time, and told me the situation...very complicated time frame. He grows up during your time and gets close to you but can not make his plans known, so he waits for you to build the device as planned... in my time...he was gone for quite some time, as you can see, nearly five years...until I got his message. A few days ago, I went against you and came back in time...we thought he was dead."
