"Y/N!" Nebula's surprisingly urgent voice disturbed your slumber. "Y/N, wake up!"

Your eyes slowly opened, startled by the shocked expression on her face. Next, to startle you were the stars outside the window. They were moving. Wait. Is the ship moving?

You turned back to Nebula, confused and ready for answers. "We're being saved," she said simply, before picking you up and jogging out of the room.

We're what?

You stared at the ground, still half asleep and disorientated until you both arrived at the cockpit, where Tony was already sitting in Drax's seat. Nebula set you down in Gamora's seat and you buffered for a second before speaking up. "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna need a better explanation than that." Once you'd gotten both of their attentions, you continued, "Are we really safe?"

Obviously as flabbergasted as you were, Tony nodded, lighting a smile up on your face. Is this what I deserve?

"A woman arrived - neither of us recognize her, but she's taking us to Earth," Nebula completed her explanation before turning back to the rapidly approaching planet. You mirrored her actions, taking note of Terra which was getting closer at an alarming speed. "Shouldn't be much longer 'til we get there."

She was right. No longer than ten minutes later, you could see a large building, finished off with a big letter A on the top. A? As in A for Avengers?

You turned to Tony, who you noticed had a relieved smile on his pale lips. Is Tony's family here? You couldn't help but copy his smile, although aware of the small sliver of jealousy in the bottom of your stomach. At least one of us is getting them back.

Not long after, the ship landed with a thud, and you could hear the soft whir of the door opening. You rotated in your seat to see Nebula rejoining the two of you as you both attempted to stand up. She quickly wrapped her arm around you, allowing you to lean on her as you walked, before doing the same for Tony.

You and Tony hobbled out of the ship with Nebula as your stability, and instantly you could see a group of three Terran men and one Terran woman. The woman had chin-length blonde hair. The man furthest to the right had dark skin and a buzz cut. The man to the left of him had dark brown hair and was a fair amount shorter than the others. The last man had brown hair, slightly lighter than Tony's, and broad shoulders. He ran up to the three of you and grabbed Tony, allowing him to use him as stability instead of Nebula as they started talking. Nebula sat you down on the steps, taking a seat next to you and wrapping a comforting arm around your shoulders.

"Couldn't stop him," Tony muttered, his voice weak.

"Neither could I."

The pair stopped moving so that they could face each other as they spoke. "I lost the kid."

"Tony, we lost."

You stared down at the ground, not wanting to look at them in case you started crying. How could they be so put together when talking about this? Did none of them blame themselves? Did all of them blame you?

"Is- uh..?" Tony was reluctant to finish his query as if he wasn't quite ready for the answer. But luckily, a woman with auburn hair pushed through the small crowd and embraced him, seemingly answering his question.

"Oh my God! Oh my God!" she exclaimed, her voice a mixture of relief and shock.

"It's okay," Tony whispered after giving the woman a soft kiss on the cheek.
