FINN

"Hey, Ari?" I knocked on Arabella's door. I had just gotten back from a walk that I took. I needed time to think. "I want to say sorry."

The door suddenly opened. Arabella's face was covered in mascara and a bit of her lipstick was smudged.

"I should apologize first." She said, opening her door for me. I came in and sat in her bed. She came and sat next to me. "I'm sorry. That was really bitchy of me and I shouldn't have done that."
I sighed.

"It's fine, you didn't do anything wrong. I was being over dramatic and an overall asshole. I'm the one that should be sorry." I told her.

"Okay." She nodded.

"Oh and uh..." I started. "Can we um forget about what I said? You know the whole... feelings thing."

Arabella's eyes widened before she started nodding.

"Yeah." She sighed.

"Alright." I stood up. "I'm gonna go take Milo out on a walk, wanna come?"

"I'll stay." She said. I nodded.

"Okay." I said as I walked out closing the door behind me.

I sat down on a bench and watched Milo run around the dead leaves. I was gonna have to give him a bath afterwards. Milo suddenly stopped and watched as another dog came to play with him, it was a brown and white cocker spaniel.

"Long time no see, Finn." I heard a familiar feminine voice say from beside me. I turned to face to face her and saw Carmen Vega, an old friend I had while I was growing up in El Savador.

"Carmen?" I asked. She smiled at me.

"Mind if I sit here?" She asked.

"Nah." I told her.

"So, I see you've gotten the dog you always wanted." She said after she sat down.

"Yeah."

"What's his name?"

"Milo."

"I'm surprised you didn't give him a last name." She laughed.

"Bold of you to assume I didn't." I told her.

"What is it then?"

"His full name is Milo Sebastian Diaz."

"You gave him a middle name?"

"He's like my child, of course I gavr him a middle name." Carmen laughed. "What's your dog's name?"

"Isabella Marie Vega." She said. "But Bella for short."

"Why did you laugh at me for having a middle name for my dog when you did too?!" I laughed, Carmen joined in shortly after.

"To be honest, I don't know." She giggled.

"So what are you doing in New York? I thought you were busy in Florida with your music career." I asked once we calmed down.

"Yeah, but then I decided to move somewhere less warm and alligator infested." Carmen explained.

"Ah. How are you liking it?"

"I love it so far, Bella does too."

"That's good."

"So, you and Arabella?"

"Oh, yeah."

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, we just got into a little argument earlier."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"Well, you can always come back from an argument. There is no way two people can agree on anything. You guys will hopefully learn from this fight and understand each other better, that's what couples do."

"Yeah." I said.

"Anyways, I should get going." Carmen stood up. "Here's my number, we should hang out sometime."

"Yeah, bye Carmen."

"Bye Diaz." She smiled at me. "Bella, come on!"

I watched as she and her dog walked away from me and Milo and thought about what Carmen said. She was right, people fight. It was refreshing to see a familiar face again.
