Two Hearts (Joyce Byers x Fem Reader)

The lab

(This isn't gonna go exactly like the actual Stranger Things scene of the lab stuff because these stories aren't exactly Stranger things and maybe cuz I kinda forgot what actually happened but bear with me)

You walk up to the lab.

It's midnight.

The doors are locked and most of the employees are home already.

Upon reaching the entrance, you see Joyce and El standing next to a man in a police uniform holding a rifle in his hands.

You stand before them, "You must be Hopper.".

He nods, reaching his hand out to shake yours, "Jim. Jim Hopper, and I presume you're Y/N? I know you from the station, rookie.".

"Nice to see you again. Now, let's get down to business." you say.

Hopper says, "El can open very complex locks. She can get us in.".

"Perfect," you reply, "El? Can you open these doors for us?".

El nods before closing her eyes and reaching her hand out towards the large doors leading inside of the facility.

She takes a deep breath as you watch her work her magic.

You hear metal scraping for several moments before the lock flicks itself to the side.

El lowers her hand and opens her eyes as blood drips from her nose.

Joyce helps her clean it while she says, "Good job, sweetie! Will you be okay doing some more things once we're inside?".

El nods, "Yes. I can do it. Thank you, Joyce.".

"Of course." she replies before Hopper opens the heavy doors of the lab.

He lets you, Joyce and El inside before closing it.

"Here, everyone, take a flashlight. Joyce, do you know how to use a gun?" he asks, opening the duffel bag on his back. and placing it on the marble floor.

Joyce shakes her head, "No. I've never even touched a gun before, Hop.

He sighs, "Alright. Rookie, any idea how to handle a gun yet?".

You nod, "Yep, I'm a good shot with a pistol.".

"Perfect, take this." he says, handing you a pistol from the bag before handing out flashlights to everyone.

Then, he zips up the bag, slinging it back over his shoulders.

Hopper leads the charge as he turns a corner, "I read the floorplan of this place. El says the portal is at the lowest level of the building. We make it there, we make it to Will.".

"But what about the cameras? The security systems? This place is bound to be high-tech, Hop." says Joyce.

"El and I will handle all that." he replies.

He lifts his rifle up towards the ceiling to ram it's end into the base of a security camera, disarming it.

Then, the four of you head to the stairs.

On the way down El and Hopper take down a few more cameras before you reach the next level below.

Once you guys reach the end of the stairs you say, "This can't be the end of the road. There must be other floors, right?".

Hopper nods, "It's a door. We need an ID card to pass.

El flicks her arm towards the ID taker before humming while shutting her eyes.

The device heats up before blowing up before your eyes.

It's on fire and you can see that she has definitely broke it.
