"How did you two meet?"

"Is there any plan for marriage?"

"Was it love at first sight?"

We were at the airport and the paparazzi were crowding us like crazy. They were asking all sort of questions regarding the latest rumor. The cameras were flashing in my eye and any more minutes longer, I could go blind.

We could have had a private exit to the airport. But this was part of the PR stunt that my team had created - to show that I was here in Spain, ready to attend the same school as him. To show that I was serious about this relationship with him.

By the way, I have never met him in person.

I don't even know him.

All I know is that he was some kind of rising soccer player in Barcelona.

This all started because of a stupid Tiktok video. A video where he signed a jersey for my dad that was allegedly for me because of my intense love for me. A video that edited our pictures despite us never breathing in the same room together. Because of this, I was here back in Spain for the first time in two years.

"Smile for them," Nadia, my caretaker and manager instructed.

So I did as told and showed my pearly white teeth to them. I waved and smiled even when they were pushing against me as if I was some sort of exotic animal. But I was used to this, it was a part of my duty as the crown princess.

After a long struggle, we finally got inside our taxi.

I let out a sigh, relieve that we were free from the chaotic mess out there.

"The public reaction has been tremendously positive," Nadia informed, checking her ipad, scrolling through the list of articles that were published.

Of course it was good. The people loved to sensationalize things, especially when it came to public figures. They loved to nitpick and talk about every little thing. And this time, it was my life that they were sensationalizing.

I stared out the window. It was my first time back here yet I felt so lonely and suffocated. It did not feel like the place I once knew. Probably because this movement was so sudden and out of my control. I did not have family waiting for me where I went. Dad and mom were ending an event in America and won't be back until next week. Sophia, my sister, was back in Poland, focusing on her studies. Unfortunately, I was the only one back here.

"You will meet with Mr. Gavi this afternoon at 7. A chauffeur will come to pick you up at your aunt's place," she informed, handing me a folder.

"What's this?" I asked.

"It's information about Gavi you need to know to prepare you for this relationship. Study it and engrave it to the back of your head," she said.

I opened it up and went through the papers. It was basically formal facts and what's about him like his birth palace, favorite food and what nots. I closed it and placed it beside me.

She took my hand. "I know this is very overwhelming for you but it must be done."

And she was right. This must be done. It was for the sake of publicity. To popularize the Spain throne.

After thirty minutes, we arrived at my aunt house, where I'll be staying for my time here. The place did not change at all from the last time I came here.

Nadia was going to leave and return to the royal palace for her official duties but will stop by once in a while to check on me.

"Leonor!" A voice hollered.
