Chapter 6: Temptations

~Kellin's POV~
Katelynn came over to get her stuff today. It made the whole divorce thing feel more real. "Goodbye, Kellin. I hope we can stay friends" what the fuck?!?? She hopes we can be friends? Yeah because I want to be friends with my ex-wife. "Defiantly." I hug her and she hugs back, it was short and awkward. She walks out, shutting the door. But then, she opened it again and said, "Kellin, get the locks switched." Then she left. Fuck my life. As I looked around the house, nothing looked really different.
I ordered Chinese food, as I went to get a plate, I realized the plates were Katelynn's. Is this how its going go be? Constant reminders that she's gone forever? How ironic that Vic texts me right as I'm picking up the pieces of my failed marriage. What's so good about picking up the pieces?
Vic: Hey. Me and the band are going out tonight, wanna go?

I decide to be flirty

Me: Is that code for seducing me?
Vic: Maybe later, but not until after Jaime Mike and Tony go home. Can you wait that long ;)

No.

Me: Well I guess I'm going to have to.
Vic: Alright well be at my house at 8 or else.
Me: Or else what
Vic: YOU WON'T GET THIS DDDIICCCKKK
Me: Well we can't let that happen.

Its 8:05 and I'm worried I'm late. I knocked on his door, and he answered with surprise, "Oh, you're early. Come on in."
"Early? Its 8:05?"
"Yeah, but nobody actually shows up til like 8:30."
"You're logic is invalid."
"You're logic is invalid" he said mocking me in an overly sophisticated voice. "Whatever. So what's up?" Then, Jaime walked in panicked. "OH MY GOD I'M SO SORRY I'M LATE!!"
"Jaime, will you chill? Its like 8:17."
"I KNOW I GOT IN THIS BIG FIGHT WITH MY GIRL AND- UGH THE POINT IS I'M HERE NOW." Mike and Tony walk in, Tony was zipping up his pants and Mike buttoned up his shirt. Both of their hair looked ruffled. "Whoa... What happened here?" Everyone looked at me like I was insane and I just shrugged and said, "Just saying what everyone was thinking."
"We just uh- we were- um... JUST SHUT UP OKAY." Mike said... It was quiet for a minute and Vic said, "Well... There's nothing wrong with a little... How you say... Homosexuality... Its okay, guys." Kellin was looking directly at me when he said that. "Is it even a relationship?" Jaime said, probably not wanting to believe what was happening. They just looked at each other uncomfortably. "Well... How long have we been insanely oblivious to this?" Vic said. "Uhhh... A few... Months?" Tony said, unsure. "MONTHS!" We all said in perfect unison. "I mean, what did you expect, Jaime and Vic? Vic, I've literally been in your shadow ever since we were kids. And ask anyone- in the list of favorite Pierce the Veil members, it always goes Vic, Jaime, Tony then me. I'm fucking tired of it! I just wanted a deeper connection with someone who knows how I feel." Mike unnecessarily yelled. We were all quiet until, as usual, I broke the silence. "Well, um I think I should go... This sounds like a thing you guys should work out alone. Maybe I'll go out, try to get a one-night stand," I say, teasing Vic. Jealousy flamed inside his eyes. I wanted him so bad, it was hard to explain with mere words. "Uh Kellin, its fine, we're all friends, plus your opinion means a lot to us." I smirk, unsurprised that Vic made an excuse for me to stay. "If you insist."
