~Kellin's POV ~
I was at work when I got a text from Alex. She only texts me when she wants something, so I wasn't surprised when the text said Can I borrow $20? I responded with Ask your father. And she said Never mind...
Vic had a crazy idea to start doing "family game nights" on Thursday nights. Last week was the first week we did it, we played Apples to Apples. The kids were bored out of their minds. But, when I walked in the door, Alex, Dominic, and Vic were all gathered around the table, laughing and having a great time playing Life. "Am I interrupting something?" I threw my jacket onto a chair and hugged my children and my husband, "Sorry baby but we already started the game. You can play the next game."
"That's okay... You guys have fun, I'm tired anyways." No one responded, they just listened to Dominic pick up a tile with the words Volunteered at an animal shelter! So, I went upstairs and watched some of Vic's Warped Tour footage. He looked so happy preforming. He was singing the bridge on New National Anthem, and Jaime, Tony, and Mike playing their instruments in the background. Then, Vic walked in, closing and locking the door behind him. "Thought you were playing a game."
"You seem mad." I avoid eye contact with him. He doesn't deserve this. Its not his fault he has a better relationship with the kids than I do. "I'm not mad. I'm just. I- ugh nevermind." He sat down next to me and wrapped his around around ny shoulders, "Talk to me, baby."
"I'm just tired of being the bad guy all the time. I'm the one who always has to lay down the law and say no. But you, they love you. You're the fun one."
"Kellin, that's ridiculous. They love you."
"They don't ever want to do anything with me. But they're always doing fun things with you and I feel really unwanted." Vic sighed and replied with, "Alright, Kellin. I wasn't supposed to tell you this, but what the hell. The kids are making you breakfast in bed in the morning. They wanted it to be a surprise, but seeing that you don't believe they love you, there's your proof. Act surprised."
"Oh I'll definitely be surprised." Alexandria is an extremely gifted chef, so this should be good.
Around 8 A.M., I heard whispering outside my bedroom door Right on cue. So, I pretended to be asleep as a hear the doorknob twist, pushing the door open. After that, I hear Alexandria's voice say, "Dad. Daadd. Wake up, we made you breakfast." I open my eyes to see Vic, Dominic, and Alexandria gathered around me. I prop myself up. Everything smells amazing. "Okay we got a mozzarella, green pepper, and sausage omelette, whole grain toast with homemade raspberry preserves and finally, a bowl of watermelon, cantelope, strawberries and blueberries," Alexandria said, clearly proud of her work. Then, Dominic said, "Hey, Alex may have cooked you a five star breakfast, but I got you this." Pumpkin Spice latte from Starbucks. My inner white girl comes out every year around this time when these come around. "And they bought all of this with my credit card." Vic said sarcastically. Alex shot him a glare and said, "You always make us breakfast. Like, always." She turned to Vic and said, "Have you ever even turned on a stove? Anyways, we figured we'd return the favor."
"Thank you guys so much. I don't really know what else to say."
"You seemed really stressed recently, and we wanted you to know we love you." They all hugged me and Alex and Dominic left the room and I said to Vic, "You know, this is the first time in years I've waken up to breakfast without Katelynne screaming at me."

Hey guys! Well. That's it. The book is over. Don't worry, there'll be a sappy long author's note after this obviously. Sorry this was so short, I didn't really feel like dragging it out. So yeah. Thank you!
Kisses,
