Chapter 1: All Downhill From Here

~Kellin's POV~
     I woke up feeling great. I sat up, pulling my comforter off of me. I stood up and walked into the dining room, following the scent of bacon and pancakes. Honestly, I should know better. Katelynne always cooks when she's pissed. So, sure enough, she was sitting at the table, whispering on her  phone when and immediately hanging. "Mornin, sunshine," I say, attempting to earn a kiss, or at least a hug. But of course, she turns away from my embrace, her eyes refusing to meet mine. "Katelynne, c'mon. We both know you cook when you're mad. What's up, baby girl?"
"Kellin, just stop," Damn she's mad. Hopefully my classic Kellin Quinn charm can save this relationship... "Babe, just tell me what happened, I wanna fix this."
"Give me your phone." She held out her hand, demanding my phone. "Uh okay." I handed it to her, and she unsurprisingly opens my texts. She scrolls for a minute then turns the screen towards me. The small, bright screen displays a conversation I had with Vic. Wait... I didn't delete this... I decide to play it cool, hoping my guilty face didn't give anything away.  "Yes? I still don't understand." Her eyes swelled with tears of frustration as she said, "Kellin, between the two of you, you've typed more of the kissy emojis than we ever have."
"Katelynn, c'mon. You know its nothing serious. I love you, plus I'm not gay." She started to speak, but stopped herself. We sat for a while so she could sort out her thoughts, then she reluctantly said, "Kellin, I've seen the way you look at him. The smile on your face whenever he texts you." Her voice grew to a quiet whisper. "K-Katelynn please." She closes her eyes and whispered, "I just need some time away. You obviously have some issues you need to deal with." She left, leaving me at the table surrounded by assorted breakfast foods. I feel like I should be more upset than I actually am. My first instinct was to text Vic, so maybe she was right... But I'm not gay... Am I?
