Chapter 38

As they entered the camp Angel spotted her brother wrestling with Crow, Robin was chatting with Rose and Poppy, Tyco laid by Claw, the two obviously arguing about something like usual. Brick and Trisha laid lazily in the clearing, their kits playing while Tiny and River sat beside them trying to mimic the older kits play fighting. Scourge laid a top his garbage bin like usual Bone beside him, both discussing about the upcoming fight with the Clans if they didn't leave by the next day. Angel kept the kits close as she padded farther into the camp, and soon the eyes of all the cats were on her, even her father's cold gaze.

She walked over to where her father sat and meowed loudly so all could hear. "I've found Death and Night's kits." Then with a swish of her tail she pointed to each kit as she announced their names. "Efah, Leilah, Lena, and Reaper."

Yowls out outrage and anger burst in the camp, Scourge quickly silenced them with a swipe of his tail. "And why have you brought them here?"

"So they may join."

Scourge's eyes widened with disbelief and rage. "Why would I allow those filths' kits in my camp!?"

Angel spoke calmly as the kits cowered beside her. "Because they are kits and still you grandkits. It is not their fault their mother was evil nor their father. They did not kill Stream and they should not be blamed and left to strave." Her gaze met her father's and the two had and icy stare off. "And if it will help I'll raise them like I raised Crow, Jay, and Robin."

Tyco shoved his way from where he laid beside Claw. "But you have your own kits to raise, our kits!" He protested.

Angel stared at him calmly. "And I will raise both mine and my sister's kits." Tyco frowned but Angel paid him no heed as she gave her father a challenging look, daring him to deny her of raising the kits. Scourge growled but nodded reluctantly.

"Very well, you may raise them, but do not expect me to treat them as if they are family, once they are old enough they must leave the camp and make it on their own." With that he turn back to Bone and the two went back to discussing the plans for tomorrow.

Angel led the kits over to where her kits sat, staring up at her in wonder, then they looked at the new kits. River padded forward and sniffed Reaper before wrinkling her nose. "You smell funny." She meowed.

Reaper rolled his eyes replying. "And so do you."

River puffed out her chest and Tiny scampered over. "I do not! I smell like all the other BloodClan cats!"

Reaper puffed and sat beside his siblings as they sat by Angel, looking up at her in wonder. Angel meowed to her kits. "Behave you two. They will be your new siblings like Crow, Jay, and Robin."

Tiny frowned. "Does that mean we have to share our nest with them?"

Angel nodded. "Yes-"

"But they're so big! They'll squash us!" River squeaked, jumping a little, her fur puffing up.

Angel smiled. "No they won't because we will be leaving the den," She looked up at her father as his gaze snapped to her. "We will be moving into the ShadowClan camp."

Scourge's eyes lit up and he leaped down yowling for his cats. The BloodClan cats gathered around him and he began instructing cats to gather and get ready to leave. Cats who didn't already have something to take like prey and herbs helped gathered the kits and carried the ones who wouldn't be able to make the walk. Angel grabbed River in her jaws as Tyco grabbed Tiny. Crow grabbed Reaper who struggled and swatted at him. Claw grabbed Efah, Robin grabbed Lena, and Kill grabbed Leilah. Scourge led the BloodClan cats from the main camp and as the cats padded through the allies and town others of BloodClan began to follow.

As the cats arrived at the border of the forest Jay met up with them and joined the ranks and soon the cats were at the ShadowClan camp, there were a few cats already there, carrying the scent that Tigerstar had. Scourge motion for the cats with herbs to go to a den that carried the scent of herbs and pointed for the cats with the prey to leave it on the pile of prey in the middle of the clearing. Bone led the cats carrying the kits over to a den that smelled like milk and nursing queens.

Inside were nest and Brick took one while Trisha took another and Angel settled for one closer to the back where it was warmest. She nestled down her two kits as well as her sister's and they curled up and got settled down for the night.
