"So, Annie told me that the cops are questioning us all on Monday about Tatum's death." Stu says out of nowhere. Of course he had to bring it up while we're out, eating lunch.

"Not now, Stu. Later. We're out, and we're eating." I warn, giving him a glare. "I'm just letting them know." He says defensively. "Yeah, well don't." I say cockily.

I unlock the door, as everyone piles inside. I figure I should talk to Sidney about cotton. "Hey, Sid. Can we talk real quick?" I ask, putting down my keys. "Yeah, of course." She smiles.

I take her up to my room, and close my door. "This isn't where the two hot girls make out, right?" She asks, laughing. "No, just need to talk." I chuckle.

"I don't wanna get you upset, Sid. But I just need to talk to you about Cotton." I say, sitting down next to her on my bed. She shifts uncomfortably, but nodding. "Go on." She sighs.

"I wanna tell you because I feel guilty, but Michael doesn't, but Cotton is my moms brother. They are quite close. She's the only one who goes to visit Cotton in jail. Well, besides Gale Weathers. But my aunt Mary, she's not as close with Cotton." I explain, hoping she's not gonna go ape shit at me.

I wait for her to scream and shout, but she doesn't. She hugs me. "Don't feel guilty, Annie. You didn't do shit. It was Cotton." She pulls away. "Thank god. I thought you were gonna hate me forever." I chuckle.

-

"Ok, well Randy just wants to see Jamie Lee Curtis's boobs!" Stu shouts, as we all laugh. "So what?!" Randy takes a sip of his root beer. "This sucks! Why can't we just have normal beer?" Billy turns to me. "Because my dad will notice the missing beer, fucktard." I slap his shoulder.

The front door opens, as my mom rushes in. "Oh, Annie honey! Is everything alright?!" She asks panicking, cupping my face. "Mom, I'm fine. The cops are outside, and everyone's here. I'm ok." I reassure her. She sighs in relief, and kicks off her heels, putting them with the other shoes by the front door.

"I'm hungover. I'm gonna go back to bed. Have fun, kids." She waves, as she walks to the stairs. "Your moms so hot." Stu says. "Shut up! She's literally like your second mom! That's disgusting." I gag.

I quickly get up off the couch, and follow my mom upstairs. I walk to her room, to find her picking out some pyjamas. "Hey mom." I smile, closing her door.

"Hey honey. What's wrong?" She looks at me. "Nothing. Just wondering how Cottons doing?" I ask, sitting on her bed. She joins me. "I called him earlier, he's ok. Says he misses you and Michael. Im gonna visit him tomorrow. Wanna come?" She asks, putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah. I miss him too." I nod. "I don't really think Cotton killed Maureen. He's my brother, I know him. He wouldn't do something like that. That's just not him." She shakes her head.
"No?" I look at her. "No. That's not Cotton." She stands up. "I'll leave so you can change. Also, they're questioning everyone about Tatum Riley's death on Monday." I say, and she nods. "Tatum, lovely girl she was." My mom says, before I walk out.

-

"Party at mine ok Friday?" Stu asks, as I sit back down. Everyone nods, or says yes. "Can we watch something else without Jamie Lee Curtis?" I ask, groaning. "You like psycho! That's got her mom in it!" Randy exclaims. "So? She's not Jamie?" I argue.

"Yeah, I'm getting bored of this movie. Let's watch Nightmare on Elm Street." Billy wiggles his eyebrows. "Creepy much?" I tease, laying back into the couch.

I hear him chuckle, as he also lays back into the couch. Stu grabs the side of my head, making me put it down onto his chest. I smile, as he plays with my hair.
