"Annabelle, darling. It's time to get up-" my mother stops herself, as she walks into my room, seeing Stu and Billy passed out on my bed. "Morning mom." I smile. "I didn't know Stuart and William were here?" She furrows her eyebrows.
"Yeah, they went to a party last night, and they were pretty drunk, and our house was the closest, so they came here." I lie. "Oh, that's alright, just let them know that there will be breakfast on the table in twenty, and then after breakfast, your father can drive them to their houses, and they can get changed, and drop you three, and your brother off at school." She closes my door.
"Stu, Billy. Get up." I shake them both. "Breakfast will be ready in twenty, then my dad will drop you off so you can get changed, then take us to school." I explain, taking out a white cropped top, and light blue flared jeans.
-
"Morning." I smile at my parents and brother walking downstairs with Billy. "Where's Stuart?" Mom asks, as me and Billy sit down. "On his way." I begin to eat a bit of bacon.
Soon enough, Stu comes downstairs. "Goodmorning, Stuart!" My mother exclaims cheerfully. She thinks Stu is this smart, respectful boy. "Goodmorning, Mrs. Duncan!" He takes a seat beside me.
"You kids better hurry up and eat, I gotta take you two to get changed, and drop you off at school, and get to work myself." My father continues reading the newspaper.
"From now on, your father will be taking you to school, and if he can't pick you up, you will take the bus." My mother says sternly to me and Michael. "Mom, if I'm walking with Stu, Billy and Randy, I'm sure me and Michael will be fine." I try to argue.
"No, Annabelle. When they find the person who's been killing these people, then you can walk alone." She states.
-
"C'mon, you four." Dad rushes. "Jesus, dad. Gotta put my shoes on." I grab my shoes. "Do it in the car." He says. I pick up my shoes, and run outside, and into the passenger seat. I quickly throw on my shoes, and dad makes his way to Stu's house, since it's the closest.
-
"Five minutes max, Stuart." Dad says. "Of course." Stu climbs out of the car and rushed inside.
Literally two minutes later, he walks back out in a flannel and a pair of jeans with the same shoes he always has on. "Where to next? William's?" Dad begins to drive.
-
We pull up outside Billy's and he quickly gets out of the car, and rushes inside. He takes a little while, before running out, and getting into the car apologising to my father for taking a little longer than five minutes.
My father shushes him, and turns on the radio in the car. I quietly hum along to 'Every Breath You Take' .
After about, five minutes of driving, dad pulls up outside school. "I'll be here to pick you up." He says to us. "What? Even Stu and Billy?" I ask. "Well, I assume their parents wouldn't want their kids walking around with a psycho on the loose. And Stu is practically family. Now, go." His mood suddenly changes.
"Thank you Mr. Duncan." Billy and Stu say, while getting out of the car. "Be here on time! As soon as your last class finishes! Don't be fools, and make me wait." He warns. "Bye dad." Me ans Michael say at the same time.
"You don't have to act all polite around our parents, you know." Michael laughs. "Still." Stu shrugs. "Hey Billy." Christina Carpenter walks up to us. "Hey there, Christina." He smirks. "Jesus, Billy. Least you can do is be faithful to Sid." I pull him by the arm and drag him away.
"The fuck was that for? She's hot." Billy shoved me slightly. "Your a dick sometimes, Billy." I slap his shoulder. Sidney and Randy then walk up to us. "What's this all about?" Randy asks. "Oh, just Billy being an asshole." I shake my head. "Mhm, like always." Randy mutters.
