Phoebe's POV
"Taylor I have nothing to wear!" I yell in our hotel room as I rummage through my suitcase. Tonight is the last night before I leave for New York and you guessed it, I still haven't told Cameron. The whole gang and I are going to this really cool club where our current Magcon is.

"You're telling me that you can't find anything to wear in your two ton suitcase?" She says sarcastically.

"Ha. ha. very funny." I say rolling my eyes. "I'm serious! There is nothing 'club' worthy in this suitcase." I throw my arms up in frustration.

"I have an idea. We have a couple hours before we leave, so let's just go to a store and buy something before tonight."

"Wow Taylor. Never thought I'd say this but you are a genius."

"I try." she says shrugging her shoulders.

We find a red romper that highlights my long legs perfectly and Taylor finds a black and white romper she absolutely loves. We buy them and make it back to the hotel with just enough time to get ready. At 7 o'clock Taylor and I walk down to the elevator and take it to the lobby. The doors open to 10 boys with their jaws dropped.

"Close your mouths boys. You'll catch flies." I say and Taylor and I laugh.

"Damn babe." Gilinsky says, snaking his arm around Taylor's waist. She just smirks in response.

"You look amazing Phoebe." Cameron states with wide eyes.

"Thanks. you too." I reply shyly. "alright are we just going to stand here and compliment each other all night or are we going to party." I yell breaking the awkwardness.

"Let's do it!" Caniff (the other Taylor) shouts.

We pull up to the club and the place is packed but because we're with the boys we get a VIP pass. As soon as we enter the building we are surrounded by a sea of people, some dancing, some drinking, some both. Taylor takes my hand and we make our way to the dance floor with the boys not far behind. We dance to our favorite songs and we're all having a great time when all of a sudden I feel somebody grinding up on me.

"Um what are you doing?" I say turning to the stranger.

"Just trying to dance with you babe." he replies and I can smell the alcohol  on his breath.

"Sorry not interested." I say trying to dance with Taylor again, but he refuses to take my nice rejection and continues to push himself onto me.

"I said leave me alone." I say raising my voice a little.

"I believe she said leave her alone." Jack says jumping in.

"And who are you?" He says standing up straight to look as tall as Jack.

"None of your business, now leave her alone." I can tell Jack is trying to be civil but I know what he gets like when he's angry.

"I'll do whatever I want dude." he says before grabbing my arm. All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye I see a fist fly by and knock the guy out cold. I expect to turn and see Jack but to my surprise, Cameron is standing their with his fist clenched.

"Thank you." I say in all the commotion.

"No problem, if Jack wasn't going to jump in, I was." Cameron says smiling.

"Hey I was about to until you jumped in man." Jack states defensively. We all laugh before I look down at Cameron's hand.

"Cameron you're bleeding!" I say grabbing his arm to examine his fist.

"I'm fine." he says trying to be macho.

"Here let me go clean it up."

"I'll be fine phoebe." he says lightly laughing.

"C'mon. don't argue with me." I say leading him to the bathroom. We walk in and I roll out a long sheet of paper towels then wet them under the sink. I take Cameron's hand and gently rub the dried blood off his knuckles before saying, "Thanks again for knocking that guy out."

"No problem." he says chuckling.

I don't know where this came from but all of a sudden I had this burst of confidence, "it's really hot when a guy stands up for me."
Cameron smiled, we made eye contact and all of a sudden his lips were on mine. Everything was moving in slow motion but it felt... amazing. My hand were on his neck and his were around my waist. Our lips moved in sync. My head was spinning. We pulled away for a couple seconds and looked in each other's eyes. I thought he was going to lean in again but suddenly his eyes changed and he pulled away.

"This can't happen." he stated before walking towards the door.

"Why not?" I replied frustrated.

"It just can't! I'm sorry Phoebe." and the door was closed. And there I was, in the bathroom, all alone.
