Phoebe's POV
"Hayes give me the remote! I was watching Barbie dream house!"

"Hayes quit pestering Skylynn!" I was rudely awakened by yelling from downstairs. It's good to be home. I reluctantly rolled out of bed, tying my knot of a hair into a messy bun before trudging down the stairs.

"Good morning sweetie!" My mother smiled widely, "I hope we didn't wake you."

"No not at all." I sarcastically replied.

"Wow I forgot how ugly you were in the morning." Hayes teases before pulling at my bun. I hate him being taller than me.

"Hayes you're a meanie!" Skylynn defended me while punching him in the side.

"If you all would quit fighting then maybe we could all have a family breakfast." My mom said while placing a plate of pancakes on the table.

"Yay!" Skylynn yelled before taking her place at the table, followed by Hayes and my parents.

"Did I hear pancakes?" Nash questioned, poking his bed head from around the staircase.

"You better hurry before they're all gone!" My mom called. I sat down with a huge smile on my face, I've missed this craziness. The rest of breakfast consisted of small talk and catching up until Nash caught everyone's attention.

"So I have a friend coming in today to visit, by the way." Nash announced.

"Oh yeah? Which one of your friends?" My dad asked, taking another bite of pancake.

"Oh just uh one of the guys, uh Cam." He said, making sure the  last part was almost inaudible.

"Who?!" I yelled, practically spitting my orange juice across the table.

"Cam!" Skylynn yelled into my ear. I rolled my eyes.

"Thank you Skylynn, I heard him." I said before refocusing my attention. "What the hell Nash?"

"Language Phoebe!" My mother scolded.

"Sorry, Nash may I speak with you for a minute." I stated, more than asked, motioning to the living room. When we were completely out of view I slapped Nash, full force, on his arm, catching him off guard.

"Ow! What the hell?" Nash whisper screamed.

"What is the matter with you?! Why in the world would you invite Cam of all people to come when I'm here!" I yelled, ignoring his 'injury'.

"Look I'm sorry, but I had already invited him before you're little surprise visit." I heavily sighed. "Look, can't you just try and act normal around him? Who knows, this might give you guys a chance to talk."

"Oh yeah I know exactly what I'll say, 'sorry I broke your heart Cam.' Or even better, 'sorry I left you stranded in an airport'. Yeah sounds like a great conversation." I smiled sarcastically.

"Just deal with it okay? He's coming into town whether you like it or not so either figure out how to make this work or be prepared for a very awkward week." Nash said, leaving me with no further argument.

"Fine." Was all I said before following him back into the dining room for the rest of breakfast.

~~~~~
Later that day we were all just chilling in the living room when the doorbell rang. Everyone got up from their seats to go and greet Cam as Nash opened the door.
"Hey everybody!" Cam smiled widely, I missed that smile. I hid behind one of the walls and watched as he hugged the rest of my family and finally picked Skylynn up, giving her a huge bear hug.   Suddenly all eyes were on me, so I slowly approached all of them, standing a few feet from Cam.
"Hi." I greeted shyly.
"Hey." He said with a soft smile on his face.
"Well why don't the rest of us head back into the living room and give these two some time to catch up." My mom stated, sensing the awkwardness.
"You look...amazing." Cam said looking my body over.
"So do you." I replied honestly. "I've missed you."
"I've missed you too, how come you didn't return my call?" Cam questioned, instantly making me feel guilty and sending flashes of that night back into my head.
"It's just, complicated." I finally said. He just nodded his head in understanding.
"Well why don't we join the rest of your family." Cam said, gesturing towards the living-room with his arm. I led the way and sat down on the couch next to Hayes. Cam sat in the love seat across from us as Skylynn made herself very comfortable in his lap. Everyone picked up a conversation as I zoned out, just staring at Cam's facial features. He really was hot. He has such a strong jaw and a beautiful smile, with soft brown eyes and thick hair.
"Hey." Hayes whispered making me jump and take my focus off Cam, "take a picture, it'll last longer."
"Ha ha." I retorted sarcastically, while Hayes chuckled at himself.
"Hey look, if you like him, why don't you just tell him." He questioned.
"It's a little more complicated then that." I looked down at my hands that were folded in my lap.
"Is it? Or are you just making it more complicated?" Hayes asked, leaving me speechless.
"When did you get so smart?" I laughed.
"I'm just saying," he replied, patting me on the back. Was Hayes right? Was I the one making this complicated? Was the answer right in front of me? All these unanswered questions floated around in my head until I heard a phone ringing. I searched my pockets before pulling out my phone, glancing at the ID that lit up the screen.
Sammy.
