Valentina White POV
I sometimes still can't believe that today is my wedding, and I still can't believe I am getting married to the love of my life, and we also have three adorable little girls. It's a dream come true.
A dream I gave up on a year ago...but here I am living my dream.
I look in the mirror as I admire myself in my wedding dress. It's off-shoulder with full-transparent sleeves with designs sewn on top. The lace dress is tight until my knees before it flows down in a not-too-wide but comfortable skirt around my feet. The dress is perfect.
5 months. We compromised on waiting for 5 months after the birth of the twins before getting married. River wanted to get married right away but I reminded her that if we got married right away, we won't be able to have a honeymoon. I suggested waiting for a year but she shot that down in a second, and after hours of debating, we agreed on 5 months.
Honestly? The last five months have been the most bittersweet 5 months of our lives! It was sweet for a lot of reasons like we officially adopted Aria 3 months ago, and Stella and Sam got their baby boy 3 months ago too! He is the cutest little guy! His mother's only wish was to get to name him and get a picture of him every birthday...Stella and Sam happily agreed. The girl named him, Aaron. Aaron Evans-Davis. Now that Sam and Stella are living opposite to us...it's been great! We can help each other out with any of the baby stuff! It's been a huge help!
Now, the bitter...I shouldn't say this, I love our babies very much! But they are a little too much energetic with big ass loud lungs! They keep crying all night until sunrise and sleep till noon before letting their voices rip through the house...it's been hard to manage to say it lightly! I mean little Aaron is such a punctual baby! I mean seriously! The little guy sleeps as soon as the sun goes down and lets his presence known with the first ray of sunshine! They might need to wake up early nowadays but compared to us!? They are in heaven!
Aria's school resumed in the second week of January and that only piled in on our workload! Don't get us wrong we love when Aria comes running through the door after coming back from school to tell us about her day! We look forward to talking to her every day! It's the first highlight of our day! The second highlight is the couple of hours of sleep we get when we put the twins in the crib next to our bed...yes! Next to our crib! Both River and I realized on the first night that the crying until get tired technique is not for us! But unfortunately, that led to Aria not being able to sleep with us which she was very sad about but didn't want to express it...but fortunately we came up with a system!
To be truthful after the first chaotic two months we came up with a bunch of systems! Which are currently hanging on our fridge beside Aria's daily schedule. They are:
1. Val is in charge of the morning routine for Aria. From waking her up to dropping her off at school.
2. Val can directly leave for the office after drop off at 7:30 to 7:45 am.
3. Jones will be with the babies until noon after which she will drop them off at Stella's before heading to work.
4. Val will pick Aria up from school at 4 pm. Since her school also has a daycare so, she can stay there after school ends at 3 pm.
5. Jones will come back from work at 5 pm.
6. No. 4 and 5 are interchangeable depending on our workload.
7. Dinner at 8 pm.
8. Bedtime for Aria is at 9 pm.
Do you know what the freaking chart doesn't have? Sex! I am not saying I want to make an allotted time slot for it...but at this point? Yeah! We haven't had sex in 5 months! Another reason why we want this honeymoon so badly!
