River Jones POV

"River! What the hell are you doing!?" Val shouted through the door making me laugh as I zipped up my pants before moving toward the sink to wash my hands.

"I am peeing! What happened!?" I exclaim with a chuckle as I wipe my hands before exiting the bathroom to meet my wide-eyed wife.

"I don't think I can do this! Maybe this isn't a good idea..." She said nervously making me smile as I shake my head and wrap my hands around her waist pulling her closer.

"You will be fine. Plus, don't forget this was your idea! I was just teasing you last night, I didn't expect you to agree...very enthusiastically I might add." I say with a teasing smile making her groan before she glares at me.

"When the hell did we decide that I make good decisions!?" She says making me laugh before I shut up, seeing her glare.

"Babe, you will be fine. But if you are so worried then we don't have to do it!" I offer, hoping to take away her stress as she frowns thinking it over before shaking her head.

"No, I want to do it but what if someone notices?" She asks making me huff as I lightly smack her ass causing her to yelp before I detach myself from her, opening the front door.

"Not a word more! Come on, we are losing daylight!" I say sternly making her huff as she walks out with a pout on her face.

I take the keys and lock the door before catching up with my pouting wife with a shit-eating grin on my face as I shake my head. I can't believe this is the same woman I met, the day I walked into her office for an interview to be her bodyguard.

A lot has changed since then and I couldn't be happier about the changes leading to walking alongside my pouty wife on our honeymoon while our kids are back home with their grandparents...under strict instructions from Val that she shouldn't find any new toys in their hands when we meet again.

I don't think they are going to adhere to Val's instructions...

I wrap my right arm around my wife's shoulder pulling her closer as she rests her head against my shoulder.

"What's the plan for today?" She asks softly, mindful of not wanting to break the comfortable silence around us.

"Not much. We are going to explore Mount Otemanu around the base. Then, we are going to the turtle sanctuary for some sea creature experience. Then, lunch at Bloody Mary's. And finally, spend the rest of the day chilling at Matira Beach or something else...we will see." I explain as she hums in agreement.

This is our seventh day here at Bora Bora. And we have pretty much done everything we can here,

1. Snorkel with sharks? Done.

2. Bicycle around the Island? Done.

3. Snorkel at the Lagoonarium? Done.

4. Try local beer. Done.

5. Pet the stingrays? Done.

6. Ride a jet ski around the Island? Done.

7. Hike up Mount Pahia? It took a lot of convincing but done!

We did all this stuff in the first four days! But after the trek on Mount Pahia, Val crashed on the bed like a boneless human and refused to leave. We didn't leave the cottage for the last two days! Today is our last day alone so I convinced Val to be brave and face the sun, with no fear of any mountains! She hates trekking...new information, unlocked!

Today is our last day alone together cuz tomorrow my parents are coming with the kids and we will have a week of family fun! We left

a week after our wedding, I hated seeing Val so sad to leave the kids behind so I proposed the idea of them coming over with my parents in a week!
