VALENTINA WHITE POV
This is so fucking unnecessary! I don't want a bodyguard to follow me around every day and bugging me is the last thing I want. And the worst part is, I can't even interview the candidate! That's just freaking mean! The reason according to Sam is that I will find a reason to not hire him even if he is fully competent!
Well, she is not wrong...but still! I should get to choose my own bodyguard!
But unfortunately, that bitch got Dad on her side too! So I can't do anything about it! Don't get me wrong I am very much afraid of him finding me and I also understand that the threat is very real. But Dad and Sam are overprotective as it is, I don't want another person. Speaking of Dad he should be here soon for the interview.
"Hey, Sweetie!" Dad exclaims as walks through the doors of my office before enveloping me in a bear hug as always.
"Hey, Dad!" I greet him as I relax in his hold. All my tension and worries momentarily left my body.
"You ready for today?" He asks with a soft smile as he pulls back from the hug, too soon for my liking but I don't comment on it.
"Not at all. I don't even want to do this. I don't even know him, Dad." I point out, getting more anxious every second.
I don't want someone in my space. For any reason!
"First of all, it's not a he but a she. Her name is River Jones. I trust her, she is the daughter of one of my most trusted friends from high school and it's not like she got the job, this is just an interview." He says trying to console me but it only works a tiny bit as I release a sigh.
"I trust you..." I say simply as I kiss his cheek before I take a seat on the sofa near the doorway of my office.
He looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "You didn't say anything about watching. I will not say anything unless you guys let me."
He chuckles as he shakes his head accepting the situation before taking a seat on the chair behind my desk.
"She is here!" Sam said as she came into the office.
Let's do this. I say to myself as I try to relax against the couch. Ready to see who is this, River Jones person.

RIVER JONES POV
A/N: I don't know what questions a person asks at a bodyguard's interview. So just bear with me if the questions seem less or unrequired. It's for the PLOT.
I look into the mirror as I take in my appearance one last time. I am ready.
This is gonna be fun or at least I hope so. I am only doing this interview because of my mom. I have no intention of staying in this any longer than I have to after everything that happened with Julie. I just hope that this job will be a short and fast one. I also promise myself to do this job as professionally as possible.
I take my eyes off the mirror in the lift as the doors open revealing the doors to the office of my future job.
With a knock on the door and a quick 'come in', I enter the office. My eyes sweep across the room as I take note of the people in the room. First, the woman from the reception. Second, a man sitting in the chair behind the desk. He must be my boss. And finally, I see the woman sitting on the couch to my left looking toward me with an unreadable expression in my eyes.
My eyes drink her in as I look into the most captivating green eyes I have ever seen before my eyes admire an even more beautiful face. Her black hair flows down her body, half of it behind her back and the other half over her chest. Trailing my eyes down I notice her knee-length skirt down to her 3...no 4-inch heels. My eyes trail back up to meet her eyes as I conclude that in one month, on this same day, we will be on a date and she will say she likes me too.
Yes! It's like at first sight.
And yes I AM foreshadowing. I know I am cocky but I also know I am right.
"Come and sit Miss. Jones." I snap my eyes toward the man and with a nod I walked up to the desk before taking a seat across from him. Feeling a tad uncomfortable as I tried to adjust myself on the chair feeling my semi-hard dick rubbing against my pants. The fault of the gorgeous green eyes woman staring at my ass the whole duration of me walking up to the desk. And the desk is quite far from the doorway! At least nobody will notice it since I am sitting down.
"Hello, sir." I greeted him as I extended my hand forward which he accepted for a firm handshake.
"Hello, I am Richard White. I am offering you this job for the protection of my daughter, Valentina." He says as he points toward the green eyes beauty making me internally grin. Her name is Valentina, huh? Nice!
By the way, remember when I said I would do this job as professionally as possible?
Yes!? Forget that!
"Nice to meet you, Miss White," I say politely but she just nods in response.
"Miss. Jones, you should know that your job is a Miss. White's bodyguard also entails that you will be working as her assistant for privacy reasons. I have read your resume and I just have one question. Why did you quit working for the security firm, where you have been working for 2-3 years?"
"Personal reasons. I want to move away from this city being one of them and I still intend to after this job."
He nods before replying, "That's good. Knowing your record and you, I trust that you will do a good job. Do you have any concerns or questions regarding the job?"
"Yes. Who is the person I am required to protect Miss White from? What can expect them to do?"
"I can't tell you who but the things you can expect are mainly kidnapping and some threat calls. I don't think he is interested in killing her because of the history." He says making me sigh in silent frustration. This is idiotic they want me to protect her but won't tell me from whom. And they assume that he wouldn't want to kill her and is only interested in kidnapping her...that's just ridiculous!
He said they have a history and since Miss. White safe right now means he failed last time. What's to say his intentions didn't change and he wants to threaten her life this time!?
"Sir you have to trust me, I-'
"I do trust you that's the reason why you are here and not someone else from a security firm."
"Okay, I understand that but you should know one of my strengths is my connections. If I know who the person is I will be able to maybe find him and keep an eye on his movements. From what I am hearing, the information you have is from experience, which means she has been kidnapped before, so even though you might not want to hear it but there is a good chance this person might want to kill her now, not kidnap her or something." I explained.
"Look Jones I will say that I have doubted your skills and the need to hire a bodyguard altogether. But you seem like a competent and smart person so I am sure you will be able to assess and manage a dangerous situation when the time comes. The only question is yes or no?" Miss. White suddenly speaks making me turn to look into her eyes.
"Yes." By the way, the whole 'Jones' thing was a total turn-on. I internally groan as I try to think of something that won't make my downstairs situation worse. She is gonna kill me at this rate!
"Ok, then you can go now. We will contact you later." I nodded and after one last glance at my like at first sight, I exit the office to find five idiots standing in my way. Oh, man! I have to deal with these guys now!?
"SERIOUSLY?!" I exclaim before I take on the first guy knowing this 'test' isn't going to last longer than two minutes.
