The First Day

"Good Morning! Sorry, I'm late!" Hermione said to Ava as she came in. "Oh, no problem at all! Here let me take you to your desk!" Ava said, smiling. Hermione got a good look at the place now. 

Hermione looked around in awe. Her office was huge! The floor was marble, the walls were a light blue color. Her desk was much much much larger than her desk at the Ministry and had all files in a corner, a quill in a quill holder, and a letter on the desk. "Please just read through the letter, it contains the list of things you need to do for the day, how to do them, and just some basic things you need to know before you start. If you have any questions, any at all, don't be afraid to ask me. I'm here to help!" Ava said, smiling. "Thank you, Ava. I'll be sure to ask you if I have any questions," Hermione said. "Great! Well, settle in!" Ava said going out and closing the door behind her. Hermione had barely sat down when Ava came in again and said, "Oh! By the way, you'll have to receive all the calls. It's not there in the letter. Whenever the phone rings, pick it up and say Malfoy Industries, how can I help you? They'll either say Draco Malfoy or Blaise Zabini. Mr. Malfoy's connection is 1, and Mr. Zabini's is 2. If they don't want either of them, then they'll need either an appointment or a clarification of some sort, or a message. Just help them out with whatever they need and take the messages on a piece of paper, and then...well act accordingly," Ava said. Hermione just stared at her. "Uh...You have phones?!" she asked incredulously. Ava looked at her, smiled knowingly, and then said, "I know, it's a lot to take in. After all, its Draco Malfoy's company. But, you'll be surprised how much Muggle is here. Actually, this is a Magic/Muggle company. Which reminds me, in the first 15 floors magic is not allowed. That is where all our Muggle employees work. Apparation into the elevators is strictly prohibited as there might be a Muggle. You can't Apparate directly into the building as there are anti-apparition charms. If there are any accidents regarding the Muggle staff, just tell Mr. Mafloy immediately and he'll take care of it, " Ava explained. Hermione just sat there, jaw dropped. "Wha-what?" she said. Ava giggled, "I'll let you take it in," she said, leaving. 

Hermione just sat there, completely confused, shocked, astonished, dumbfounded, stunned. Woah, She thought. Malfoy industries has Muggles?! It has phones and computers and unity between Muggles and Wizards and Witches?! Wow! Hermione took this all in, smiling by the end of it. She was so damn happy about Malfoy. About how he completely revolutionized this company. This company should be an example to the Wizarding world that Muggles and Magic can co-exist. But it just surprised her that Malf- Draco's company was the one to set this example. She looked down smiling and saw the letter. She opened it, curious.

Welcome to Malfoy Industries. Before we get into the technical details of your job, let us go over a brief introduction of the founder of this company- Draco Malfoy. Draco is a well-educated young man with a specialization in Transfiguration, Potions, and Defence Against Dark Arts. He passed both his O.W.L.S. and his N.E.W.T.S. with Outstanding grades in all these subjects. He started this company at the age of  19, and now this company has risen up to be one of the best non-government companies in both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds. 3 years into founding this company, he asked his best friend, Blaise Zabini to join as the Chief Financial Officer(CFO). Mr. Zabini has a specialization in Charms and Potions, passing both these subjects with Outstanding O.W.L.S. and N.E.W.T.S. After this, Mr. Zabini went into the Muggle World to get a degree in B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce). Mr. Zabini has a great knowledge of the finance world and manages all Accounts and Finances of the Company. Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Zabini now co-own the company, with Mr. Malfoy having 51% of the shares and Mr. Zabini 49%. Now, on to your role in the company!

It seems that you have been chosen to be the company secretary, you out of all the thousands of applications! So before we move on, congratulations on making it! Now, as the Secretary of Malfoy Industries, you have a very big job of managing this entire circus. As the Secretary, you are the link between the inter and intra-company work. Your main job here would be to Schedule all meetings, appointments, interviews, etc. You will also need to maintain the Company's Statutory Register, maintain all Legal Works, and help the CFO and his staff with all the Company Audits. You will also need to guide the other employees on any help they need with their work. These are the basic things you will need to do. The rest, you will learn as you get experience, as it cannot be expressed on paper! If you have any questions, be sure to ask Mr. Malfoy. Don't be scared of him or Mr. Zabini. They are very approachable, so go ahead and badger them with questions :)
