It's been exactly a week. A week since the city fell under the control of the Lady Bitch- I mean, Lady Bone Demon. And a week since I was forced out of my home along with 3 spider henchman.
During that week has been the same. We'd travel in the truck, eat lunch, stop for the night, eat dinner, sleep, and back on the road. Or whatever road counts since we're in the dessert desert...I've been trying to contact Macaque, but it was always just voicemail. I honestly hope to the celestial gods, that he's not dead or something.
I don't know if I'll be able to keep myself sane...
The spider henchman have been learning to adapt, even though its hotter than a fucking meteor shower out here in the desert sun. I've had to completely get rid of my hood because Jesus I was sweating like a sinner in church. So I was left with my f/c sleeveless turtleneck, and some nice booty shorts. Forgot how glorious my ass is. Beautiful creature it is.
I'm getting off topic...
Goliath has been keeping positive, as usual. He did most of the hefty work, whenever we settled down for the night, he was the one setting up the tents and finding whatever flammable stuff there was. Huntsman was...Eh more agitated. Nothing new. He too removed his heavy coat revealing a normal long black sleeve shirt. And then there was Syntax, he spent most of his time typing away on his wrist, printing out blue prints, whenever I peeked over his shoulder he would push my face away with his mechanical spider legs. I think he's making something, but I have no clue what it could be-
"What are you doing?"
"NOTHING!!" I shout as I closed my journal with my hand, before tensing up. I listened and waited, but the snores of the spider henchmen still going made me sigh with relief. I glare at Demi as they detached themselves to where they could sit next to me. A new thing that's been learned.
"Dont scare me like asshole." I whisper shouted as I opened my journey once more. Demi rolled their eyes and watched as I write, with some difficulty.
"You act like I can't read it from your mind anyway. Since when did you have diary?" Demi asked and I glare again
"Not a diary, it's a journal. I'm using it to keep track of the days and the possible adventures that may happen while traveling. And to help me keep myself sane..." I mumble out
"So a diary."
"Shut the fuck up." I seethe as I decided that I've done enough writing for tonight. I placed my journal under my pillow, and then I looked through my bag for my snack. I like to eat at night ok?
I found my bag of my favorite chips and reached for it, but something dropped from it. Whoops must have accidentally grabbed it as...well...
I stare at the two things that fell on the ground. I picked one up and felt the overwhelming feeling of sadness fill my chest. One was a photograph of Macaque and I. This was taken a long time from now. I was maybe about...10? I had a gap in my tooth as I smiled wide, Macaque smirking as he held his middle finger up in the picture.
I snort. I remember this was when I sto-found a camera. I was so excited and immediately rushed to show Macaque. We took a picture and I've kept this photo ever since. It was actually our first photo together.
Demi stared at the photo and tilted their head, was this you? You look different, younger, happier...What had happened??
I gently placed the photo back into my bag, and then picked up the other item. Now this one...did not feel me with joy or happiness...But it did make feel nostalgic...saddened...angered.
It was a very simple pine cone. Except it had one little googly eye attached to it, the other one lost years ago. Mk made this for me...He came across a little event and it was free. He made it for me...why do I still keep it? I should throw it away just like he did to me.
